Refund via Paper check

Can anyone shed me some light on how long it took you to receive your paper check tax refund via usps?
I’m reading checks are only send out on Fridays. Per IRS rep, mine was mailed yesterday. She says 4 weeks but that’s insane. So, I’m asking – how long did it take your refund paper check to arrive after your 846 code was issued. My 2019 tax return ended up in errors for marketplace insurance mess and it JUST now got processed. Yes, I waited over an entire year for our refund. Straight up ridiculous. Instead of DD like I’ve always had, they issued me a paper check just to screw me one last time. Thanks in advance.

Update on check to be mailed by 04/01

I received the 4/5 letter saying expect a check to be mailed within 3-4 weeks. Letter came from California location and took 5 days arrived 4/10

Hopefully the check will be here in the coming week.

I thought the 3 deposits was for the year. And not including last years.

This would have been my 4th as well.

Have you all had 3 transactions since April of 2020 like me… I believe the system won’t DD the 4 th in the same Financial Institution and that’s what the deal is with cutting u a 840 manual refund…. I’m going thru the same and was kind of told that by one IRS rep…..🤔… I’m a weekly so Saturday 🙏🙏for something good!!Goodluck to all!!!

I had Direct deposit set up and fell into to “return still processing” black whole on march 5th. Got an 846 refund issued on march 25th. Pending to be mailed by april 1st. Changed to mailed on april 2nd.

No idea why it is being mailed and not direct deposit.

Once they send it out it usually takes 3-5 days
