Refund rejected, waiting for check in the mail.

I wanted to create this topic for anyone who’s refund was rejected by their bank. My Walmart money card account was blocked right before my deposit date. (Someone stole my info and used my card in another state). WMR states refund was sent, but I know my account was blocked. So now im just waiting for an update saying the check was mailed. Has anyone else had this issue or similar?

I use Walmart money card and have used it for years. My DDD was 3/14 so when I didn’t get it called them up my refund was rejected because my husbands name wasn’t on the account and my account is in my maiden name. I called the IRS they said I would go back under review and it could take 4-6 weeks. Anyone have any updates on anything similar to this? I filed 1/24 so already underwent the review thing Hoping it’s sooner for sure. Never had this problem.

I have not gotten my check, I am under review. it took about a 1 1/2 weeks for it to show back up at the IRS. I am waiting for a letter in the mail from the IRS to tell me what I need to do now.

Filed and accepted on 1/29 and had a DDD of 2/22, had the refund pending in my wife’s account and was pulled the morning of the 22nd because my name was not on the bank account, a local credit union. They sent it back and last Saturday the 3rd of March, my WMR updated to say it will be sent out tomorrow March 9th, so hopefully next week. Last year we forgot a number on our bank account, They sent the check Friday March 10th and we got it Monday March 13th so idk if it depends on the situation or what

I had the exact error on my tax returns! I had an issue date on my CA state refund of 2/15 but when I didn’t get it I logged back into FreetaxUSA and noticed I had one number wrong on both returns! I used them last year but only filed Federal but I got my refund on the day it said no problem, so I just carried over the information that was stored on last year’s return. So when I didn’t receive my state I called my bank and told them my error and there was no active account and sure enough I got my Federal refund direct deposit no problem. My state tho’ I received an offset letter and the letter says the “refund sent to” me was the balance but I haven’t heard a peep since then. Nothing in my account or in the mail. I’m assuming after an offset they send the balance in a paper check but it could take up to 25 business days and I’m just pissed off waiting.

How do you know if it was rejected or not ? I was supposed to have mine direct deposited on 2/22. I realized I had one number wrong on the account number. My bank checked the account number I put down and it doesn’t belong to anyone but they did t say if it was rejected or not.

Mine got rejected by the bank, they said it could be in my mailbox in about 6 weeks at the latest. Not sure how true that is. My ddd was supposed to be 2/7. Hopefully I get it sooner than that though.

The direct deposit was supposed to be February 22nd but I just realized last night that I put the wrong routing number either that or TurboTax transferred last year’s routing number over anyways I guess now I have to wait for a check because it would have been rejected. Looking for updates for anyone else in same boat. If you also got rejected and got a paper check please the original DD was supposed to be and date received paper check. Thanks
