I am literally in tears because I just noticed they messed up on my last name at my bank account, they say it will be rejected and I have to fax information over to them showing them that my last name is really my last name. But that will take one to two business days when I figure out where to even fax it at and my DDD is 2-27 I’m so screwed guys. I CANNOT wait another week and a half for a check.

As long as the routing and account number are valid and the name is one/two letters off they’ll most likely push through the deposit. You should be fine, but go into a branch and fix it immediately. If the SS number and your address match your bank may make an exception.

This happened to us last year. I really hate to tell you this but it took quite a while for them to issue a paper check. I filed in February and we didn’t recieve our paper check until April. I was so upset as well. I hope it is faster for you then it was for us!

I have seen you post a lot on this forum and I feel like I know you, if that makes sense, lol.

Anyway, I have a feeling that the lady was wrong and that your refund WILL be loaded to your card. I don’t want to give false hope, but all the research I just did online says Money Network accepts tax refunds if you give the routing and account number. I also dont think one letter would make a big difference either.
I just really feel that you are going to be okay!

Oh god I know it could be so much worse! I saw an accident earlier, was thankful I’m waiting on atax refund instead of an insurance claim.

I spoke to a super friendly turbo tax rep earlier after figuring all this out and she assured me when this happened to her it only took 4-5 days after getting rejected to get her check so that made me feel a lot better. I got a divorce last year and have different last names on so many different things so I’m worried they’ll think I’m doing fraud or something…but both last names match up with my ssn so I’m sure I’ll figure it out sooner than later when it gets here.😂

I don’t have any answers but if you go to Turbo Tax they might have some ideas. I know you probably don’t want to hear it but a paper check might be the best option. Honestly once they mail it, it doesn’t take long to receive. Since your DDD is 27 and you call them tomorrow maybe you can have a mailed check by Friday or sooner.

I’m hoping for some miraculous reason the women was wrong about only being able to get paychecks on my card and my last name won’t be an issue since it’s the same SSN and it’s only off by a letter but that is some serious wishful thinking after being told I can’t receive it at all. 😰💀💀💀💀

This happened to me some years back I accidentally typed in my account number wrong but it was only off by a digit. Since everything else matched my bank went ahead and accepted it instead if rejecting it hopefully they will do the same for you.

I live by “everything happens for a reason” I have a GreenDot card I could have used, I could’ve gotten a new Netspend card, there’s some reason this happened with my refund just like there’s some reason our car broke down and I lost my job but I’m so frustrated right now that I really cant think of any good reason my stupid ass didn’t look into my money network card more before using it for my refund. Sorry guys I need to vent and I appreciate every single one of you listening and helping.🤦🏻‍♀️💖

Oh god I’ve been so frantic since I posted this I haven’t even updated y’all on what I learned, apparently my money network card can’t ONLY have my paychecks loaded onto it. I messed up last year and left out the first 3 #’s of my checking account ( don’t drink and TT). I realized what I did so I kind of freaked since I really could use the money. I didn’t know what to do. I went to my bank told them what happened and they put a note into the system for whoever approved or rejected the deposits. Mind you my name was right and I knew the amount and super small town and bank. But it might be worth a try.

Look you still have time. Go to your bank and get your last name changed to what your tax return says. Last year my fiance had her return posted to my bank account which she was not on. The day before my DD I found out her name had to be on the account or they would reject it and send her a check. That same day I went and had her put on my account and the next day her return was posted to my account. But you have to get in it ASAP!

I screwed up something like that in 2009 ithink { don’t remember what it was I screwed up } but I went down and got it straightened out THE MORNING OFF MY DD . about an hour before my deposit showed up. You have time girl..
