      So I made a lil over 20k 20,334 to be exact. I claimed my three kids and my refund 4 fed is 9.5k n state is 800$ my best friend made just under 50k claimed two kids and his refund is 9k for fed how does that work. My income is substantially less but only 500$ more on my refund with an additional dependent. That’s some bs irs is crooked.

          Did he have more withholding? You can do this on your w4, I plan on changing mine end of yr. Did he pay more in taxes? Ask him. Though I might agree w irs statement. ha!!
