I would suggest you find out what bank your tax preparer or which online site you used is using. For example if you went through Jackson Hewitt or Taxact you will need to contact replubic bank first thing in the morning with new account information. If not Republic bank then Santa Barbara bank. This will work if you are having fees taken out. I had this happen back in 2016 and Republic bank sent me a check but it came a week after my original DDD. It won’t hurt to try I mean it was 3 years ago so things might have changed but it won’t hurt to call and find out. Good Luck!

That sucks it will defiantly delay your funds especially if they end up having to mail you a check. You better get down to the bank today if they are open and get another account. My friend did that one year and he had overdraft like 600$ they made him pay up his account before they would let him open another but after he did im pretty sure his refund was transferred to that account.

Do you still have an account at that bank? Usually, when a bank gets a DD for a closed account, they will automatically put it in the new account if you still bank with them. It will delay the depositing of funds. If you don’t still have an account with them, you will have to wait for it to get sent back to the IRS, and you will have to call them and, I believe, receive a paper check. There is a post by date, so my DDD is 2/27, it says to call if I haven’t received funds by 3/4, you will probably have to wait until that date to get any assistance. I would call the IRS on Monday though, to explain the situation.
