Has anyone had their return approved for 2018? I was accepted on the 19th in the test batch. Didn’t know if people were Actually getting approved or not!

That’s great news for EIC filers because I literally just read a story that its a law now that EIC or Child Tax cannot be released till Mid Feb. The government love co fusing folks

Anyone filing EIC get this message today:

According to the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes (PATH) Act, the IRS cannot issue refunds before mid-February for tax returns that claim the Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit. This applies to the entire refund, even the portion not associated with these credits.
Check Where’s My Refund in mid- to late February for your personalized refund status. It’s updated once a day and remains the best way to check the status of your refund.

Filed 1/17 and accepted a day or so later. Had the one bar until this morning and it’s been updated to this message.

Mine updated overnight…filed 01/19 WITH EITC!

Just checked WMR and says it’s APPROVED and DDD will by 01/31/2018!!! I HOPE HOPE HOPE this gives you hope. I’m trying not to get too excited since I didn’t think w/ the EITC we’d see ANYTHING until 02/15 at the earliest. Here’s to us hard workers who could USE A DANG BREAK :o)

Submitted 1/23. Federal and state (MI) both approved the same day. TaxAct sent the confirmation email a couple days later. No ACTC or EIC, but filed a joint return with self-employment for my wife.

This morning got a DDD of 1/31.

Filed & Accepted 1/22. WMR still has 1 bar, but ordered my transcripts for online viewing this morning & have an 846 Refund Issued 1/30/18. no EIC or ACTC.

We filed on 1/18, accepted 1/19, and today on the IRIS2Go app it shows refund approved and it should be deposited on 1/29. We had a baby in June and thought we filed for the ACTC (refund is $1500 more than usual) and it still says approved.

I filed my taxes on 1/12, was accepted on 1/19. I woke up this morning to show approved with a ddd of 1/29. So looks like they have started approving them. Good luck everyone!

I was accepted on 1/19 and I can’t order transcripts. What does that mean? Lol

@RHelf80 I just saw it on Turbo Tax, I guess that’s just their estimated date because it’s 21 days from my acceptance date. I was able to order both transcripts today so I’m hoping for a sooner DDD, not counting on it with the delay there is suppose to be with EIC.

Filed on the 20th, accepted on the 22nd. Showing an estimated refund date of Feb 12th. Have EIC. No approval on WMR yet, still 1st bar. I’ll keep everyone updated.

I was accepted the 19th as well. No approval yet but transcripts show that refund should be applied early…hoping for another opening day direct deposit this year!

Mine was accepted on the 18th, no approval yet. I have EITC and ACTC so probably won’t see an approval until mid-February.
