Refund amount has disappeared

Every day when I check WMR it usually says my return is still being processed. I filed in early January. Then when I log in this am, it says it’s still being processed and gives me tax topic 152 and my refund amount on the left hand side has disappeared. I just want to know if anyone knows what this means or is experiencing the same issues. I did collect unemployment and filed one W2 with a CTC.

I filed on 2/13 bars and tt152 disappeared 3/6 the day i should have gotten my return I called IRS they said was in the errors Department called again last week they told me they couldn’t give me any information that I need to just check where’s my refund. I can’t check my transcripts because I don’t have an open credit card or loan. Check Thursday Friday and Saturday TT 152 was back. Check today April 4th and it’s gone again with no amount shown. 10 weeks will be the 24

File 2/12/2021 but accepted the same night a few ours later IRS they said that they got it 2/16
Had 1 bar from 2/12 to 3/6
3/6 bar and TT disappeared stayed that way from 3/6 until 3/23 still processing and date when available
Call IRS told no errors just wait 10 weeks
3/24 TT back and amount disappeared just said tax period 12/31/2020 still processing and date when available
Today 3/26 bars back DD of 3/30

Any update I still have no refund amount topic 152 and to the right as of December 31st 2020. This has been since 3/18 was accepted 2/12

Tried to access my transcript and I knew I owed taxes from 2019 but my return for 2020 should cover what I owe and still get money back . It says they have no updated information on my current return. If I owe they should just take it and send me the rest. Still have same info tax topic 152 which came back 2 days ago and no amount of return just the message of as of Dec 31 2020.

It happened to me as well about 3 days ago I believe, it came back with the TT and the amount disappeared. Called the TA line and they said my refund left the errors resolution department 2 days ago so it’s moving along.

Anyone has this happen to them today?? Also if it has happened to you did you get an update on transcript or DD?? I filed 2/1 accepted 2/12 TT disappeared and still processing for almost a month today 3/19 I checked and WMR changed TT came back amount disappeared and there’s a date December 31,2020 is this a good change??

Woke up to no refund amount file still processing got accepted 2/12 Tax topic 152 came back on and the Message of As of December 2020 came back on

I’ve had the still processing message with not tt152. Woke this morning and checked wmr and my refund amount has disappeared and I now have tt152 message bsck

I did got same Issue same exact problem i first had the bar with everything ok then the bar dissapeared along with tt 152 couole days ago tt 152 came back but no refund amount showed any information on why this could happen kept calling irs 3 times and 3 different stories they tell me.

We may have to claim it ourselves after the April 15th deadline. That would make the most sense to me. Just give everyone the amounts they expected and then let them go back and claim unemployment tax credit

Should have mentioned it is a simple tax return with less than $300 charity donations claimed and no other type of deduction. No tax credits, just a simple single filer.

I filed electronically on Feb 12, 2021, and received the message it was received on Feb 13, 2021. Took approximately 5 days to get to the status of being processed. Within 3 days everything disappeared and the dreaded Tax Topic 152 appears. It has now been 30+ days and still nothing. And calling the IRS for a week, the messages I get are: sorry we are having temporary problems, or sorry overwhelming calls goodbye.

@deanreed6187 I thought the same thing. To me, reviewing and fixing those in queue would seem to be much more efficient than having to deal with all the amendments that will come through later. But as an FYI, I had unemployment on my taxes and there was no adjustment made for me. Not sure if mine slipped through the cracks or if it was released too early for them to make a change?

Hi all. I finally updated to a DD of 3/19 this morning.

After researching this forum and my own experience, I think that when your amount disappears, your DD should be forthcoming soon. Again, this is not fact, just an opinion but it seems to be in line with others that were delayed and got their DDD.

So what theyre most likely doing is adjusting your refund amount because 10,200$ of unemployment is tax free. Meaning it will add about 1000$ to your refund if youve paid taxes on unemployment. Same if you didnt pay taxes on your unemployment. Theyre doing this instead of having everyone amend.. which is good. Im just assuming all of this.. noone knows what theyre actually doing!

Also, when I logged back in at midnight it was able to find me just fine, but still the same with the 152 and still being processed with no amount showing on left.

Mine is the same. I think it’s because I filed on March 7th which was prior to the new stimulus bill being passed. When I call the automated number for the status of my refund, and put in the amount it tells me that my refund is still processing. I’m guessing that for those of us that filed prior to the new stimulus bill being passed, it is due to them correcting the amount of our refunds. I could be wrong, but it’s just my guess.

It looks like who ever TT 152 came back will be receiving a ddd/ss soon, I called irs and the guy told me that there are no issues with my refund and I should be getting a direct deposit by 3/22 I am an early filer and my wmr stated still processing no TT until last night it updated to my TT152 appearing and I checked my account transcript it has an as of date for 3/25! So I guess the guy was right I should be receiving a refund any day now

Still nothing. I am so sad about this. I file early every single year and this is the first time anything like this has happened. I wish there was a way for them to inform us better if they are having trouble with our return rather then waiting 30-60 days for a letter in the mail when the whole time you are expecting a DD.

Mine has same thing for almost 2 weeks last year I had the still processing no tt and no amount and had to wait till july to get my refund I’m just praying this yr is not the same I’m hoping it’s just because I had to claim the second stimulus and they are just adjusting the amount

Lusa mine is really close to the same I filed the 28th of January, accepted February 11th,bars And tax topic goes away 2 weeks ago but I had refund amount than this morning refund amount gone and tax topic is back…… But says still processing……. Never dealt with this in all my years of filing taxes

Same issue filled Feb 8th accepted Feb10th, no bars still processing tax topic disappeared for one week than came back over weekend with topic 152 but no refund amount just as of December 31st.2020
