Irs approved my refund last week and check is scheduled to mailed out on April 9, 2018 which was yesterday. But yesterday as well I received a Cp05 letter that is dated April 9, 2018 the same day my check is supposed to be mail out. So today I went to irs.gov to check where’s my refund and my refund status says refund sent with all 3 bars fully lit and it says your refund was mailed out on April 9, 2018. So will I still get my refund even though I received the cp05 letter dated the same day as my refund date? Why would irs approve me and send out a cp05 letter doesn’t make any sense. Wouldn’t where my refund tracker change to not being sent because of the cp05 letter or was it a generated letter?

@michaelwood My husband got his update too on 4/7/18 with a DDD of 4/11/18 of his original refund amount. He had to do the ID verify and wait the 4 weeks and everything. Then on 4/10/18 he received that damn nerve racking CPO5 letter dated 4/9/18 as well. So, it was a depressing night. However, this morning he got his direct deposit for his refund. Thank goodness he was so down. Like everyone that money greatly needed. So dude relax…i told myself when he told me he got his refund i just had to try and up a little sunshine 🌞 a pond this gloomy☔ tax year. Your approved it was mailed…just keep checking your mail. My friends sister works for the IRS its just a messed up year for everyone. Generated letters in error audits unneeded. Keep your head up and i wish you many blessings.😀😀👋😁🍷
