    Waiting Impatiently in GA

My driver’s license is due to renew before 3/10. I filed 2/9 and was accepted on the same day but as of now, there is no movement. Does anyone know if I go renew my license if it’s going to cause an issue since the information from my identification I provided would have changed?

Here’s the thing, required or not, when I completed our taxes, I gave the following information in my return:

          DL#
          Exam Date
          Expiration Date

The last two will change, along with my address, when I renew. That’s my concern. I’m just going to call and get the final answer from them because I also have to register my kids for school next year and would prefer my DL be updated with our new address before then. I’ll update with what the agent I speak to tells me. Thank you.

I am not an expert on this matter but i would suggest you call the irs and inquire about it who knows you might even get some good news. i called about something last friday asking a question about something other than a ddd and ended getting my ddd over the phone. it cant hurt to call.

No, you dont need a driver license to file a federal tax return.
