So, I actually just noticed this and wanted to know if everybody’s was like this or if it was just mine.. Before the PATH Act Verbiage appeared on my WMR instead of my bars, when I logged onto WMR it always said 1 Bar and the Standard 21 days verbiage with TT152.. But then on the let hand side of the page it would say “Your Personal Tax Data” and it would have my social (***-**-xxxx) and then it would say my Filing Status, Refund amount and all of that. But, it ALWAYS showed my refund amount.

However, when I log on now, it gives me the PATH ACT verbiage, TT152 and then on the left hand side under “Your Personal Tax Data” it NOW says My social, My filing status and then it says “TAX PERIOD ENDING DECEMBER 31, 2016” but it doesn’t say my refund amount ANYWHERE. I know that I have to enter in my refund amount to log in, but it doesn’t show it anymore in that left hand section, and I just noticed it.

So, I was just kind of wondering if everybody’s is like this or if some peoples is different than others or if it says the Refund Amount for some people??

      Thanks!

Question: I have cycle code 20170505 on my transcript. Can anyone tell me what week that is? Last week i read it was the week of 2/13 and now I’m being informed that it is the week of the 20th. I’m confused.

I totally agree and thank you for posting an explanation of the taxpayer’s rights.

thing is…we have a taxpayer bill of rights…it doesn’t appear that we are well informed as our first right…wmr is not producing a clear explanation in correspondence…

              The Right to Be Informed
Taxpayers have the right to know what they need to do to comply with the tax laws. They are entitled to clear explanations of the laws and IRS procedures in all tax forms, instructions, publications, notices, and correspondence. They have the right to be informed of IRS decisions about their tax accounts and to receive clear explanations of the outcomes.

There are a lot of odd things and unanswered questions this year. It is even hard to find updated information on the progress of refunds under the new PATH Act enactment. It’s like they’re scrubbing the internet of all things associated with it. Surely the largest tax refund impact to date would ignite discussions? I’m not one to take the government at it’s word when it comes with such secrecy. This is the law and just accept it? It’s wrong not to keep the communication lines open especially when people are looking for financial relief.

@Michael the transcript concept is just a guess and something people like to hold on to for false hope…Yes odds are someone got there transcripts and then got a DDD but not always…like i said false hope.

I am sure some and i mean some affected by PATH got a DDD only because it is conceivable the IRS would do a dry run, that said the law is the law and the law says after the 15th for PATH Act.

Look, it might be something but it might be nothing too however if your not getting errors or instructions to call then dont worry right now.

If your seriously worried I would call the IRS but only after 21 days have passed because other wise the reps will be annoyed and tell you anything and i mean anything to get you off the phone, that is why i say only worry if there instruction to call them or an error code.

Side note I would also wait till right after the 15th to see if it clears up.

I was able to get both transcripts today but have the PATH message. Has anyone actually gotten a deposit yet or are those lies? also how do i see the processing date etc?

Mine doesn’t show the amount anymore either. Maybe just an oversight.

Yes it’s exactly the same for me ever since Path act msg appeared. Refund amt disappeared and in its place is December 31, 2016.
