Question about the Control Number – Box D

Hey. Hope everyone is doing as well as possible. I noticed that on one of my W2’s, I put in an incorrect control number. Everything else is correct. My return is being processed and I have transcripts available to look at.
Will this by itself cause a delay? I know, silly mistake on my part.

I’m a weekly have been for years. I hate it.lol but betting we see updates tomorrow and Saturday on wmr.

My Son’s updated last night and he now has two bars and a Direct Deposit date of 2/22/2022. I can’t see his transcripts though. That information came from Where’s My Refund.

He did put the Control Numbers in correctly for all of his W2’s though.

I have same cycle code I don’t have 846 yet either. Think should hopefully I’m praying update tonight.

And, I can see both Account and Return transcripts.

Hi, it says “Being Processed”. On my transcript though, I have Cycle of 20220605 and date of 02-28-2022. No 846 code at all.

Also if you can see transcripts and there is no hold I would assume it’s good. You can see both account and return transcripts that’s a plus.

It may does wmr fund say being processed or ‘STILL’ being processed. In my experience happened twice to me. Irs will correct things and I get the whole your return is ‘still’ being processed. It for me has only causes week or two delay.
