      Hi everyone!
So, I was in the same boat as everyone here. I filed early with both credits, had a bar, it vanished to the PATH message, then to the “being processed” and now with a DD date….and the infamous code 203.

So, the state took roughly 1200 of my 1500 state refund to pay my back child support. I have zero issues with this, as I owed it. I’m annoyed AF that the money doesn’t go to my ex wife, however. It’s her damn money, give it to her! Anyway, sorry. I’ve filed my taxes every year (nearly) since incurring student loan debt in 2011. I’ve never once had any issues with the federal .gov taking it as I’m almost always in forbearance due to barely surviving off what I make. My current loan status is Forbearance, my loan servicer said that they don’t see anything on their end suggesting it’s being taken for my student loan debt. Could this be due to the back childsupport, even though it’s been paid already? Most people I’ve spoken to about it tonight said yeah, it’s more than likely because of the back CS. Any thoughts from you all??

      Thanks everyone.

I called the number and it said there are no offsets. Could this be a case of slow updates and Monday, I call again and it shows up? I wish I knew more about the innerworkings of the IRS.

Just call the offset number it will take you who is offsetting your account and a number to call.
