I keep hearing lots of debate. I have the message “We have received your tax return and it is being processed.” Others are getting a message saying something similar, except that they are still being processed.

I’ve heard still processing is a warning you’ll be delayed, while the message I’ve gotten means an update is coming (I’m a weekly). From your situations, what is the truth behind this?

For reference: I filed 1/24, accepted a day later. Cycle code is 20220505. As of this morning, no movement on transcripts. WMR went from 1 bar to PATH message to We have received your tax return and it is being processed.

Everytime I’ve gotten “it’s being processed” I got a ddd within a few days. Including this time. When I saw it was being processed, I knew I’d get the ddd for 2, 22. Which I did. Shocking because I filed the 11th of Feb.

That is correct. I had the still message last 2 years. First year I got my refund in October, last year the end of July. Don’t have it this year so far, fingers crossed

Processing means it is actually processing.
Still processing means there is more than likely a hold up, verify ID, etc…
Happened to me last year and received a notice in the mail asking me to call in and verify my ID.
I did receive my refund first week of March after.

Same here all same codes as you and dates. Nothing on transcripts.
