Am I an idiot for assuming that returns would be processed in the order received? I just saw someone who said their return was accepted on 1/22 and they now have a DDD. Mine was accepted on 1/17, I have no PATH related issues and I’m not weekly. I have blank transcripts and no movement whatsoever. How does that happen? Why do some move through so quickly when others don’t? Are there certain preparers who get preferential treatment or what? I see a lot of TurboTax people on here getting information while the rest of us just wait.

It all depends whose desk your taxes land on. If your info ends up with someone who actually works during the day then you’re good. But people have been taking from work, answer dome people work slowly so it could be any reason
