HELP!
I filed my taxes on the 30th and received a notification that the IRS had accepted it on the 31st. I claimed the EIC. When I went to look at the status of my return a couple of weeks ago I noticed that the bar wasn’t there anymore and when I checked today it states: We have received your tax return and it is being processed.” but there’s still no bar which is why I decided to look up my transcript.
I don’t know what this means, I looked up my transcript based on recommendations from other posts on this website and I had the following:
RETURN DUE DATE OR RETURN RECEIVED DATE (WHICHEVER IS LATER) Apr. 15, 2019
PROCESSING DATE Feb. 25, 2019
Cycle 20190605
CODE 806 ***I thought the good code was 846??? Does that mean I’m not getting my refund?
I’m just worried because I’ve never had any issues. My boyfriend filed his taxes last week and got his return that Saturday (he didn’t claim EIC though).

Your good, 806 is normal and refers to a credit.The bars do go away and will come back with your date. This is usually after your tracscripts update. Your a weekly based on your cycle so look for your transcrpts to update Saturday morning with the WMR to follow. I know it sux but it’s a crazy tax season like none I’ve ever seen. Everything can change at any minute but so far what you see is the norm.

A lot of us who claimed the EITC are still waiting. No need to panic. Your boyfriend didn’t have the tax credit. Therefore he didn’t have to wait.

806 code is W2 or 1099 withholding. Completely normal.
