I filled yesterday through tax act at about it 12 30. I haven’t even been accepted yet. Is anyone experiencing the same thing?

FINALLY accepted!! Received another email from TaxAct stating is was rejected (again?), so I went back into my return and did the same correction and it was accepted seconds later. So weird.

I don’t think I made it in for the Feb 3rd DDD though :(

Joshy – right now everyone is filing like mad people because they want their money (understandable) the websites that are used to check the info are probably being totally backed up so I would assume it is just the website being slow. Give it a day or two then check again. If you are super concerned about it call the IRS. Good luck

              Tracit….

It was at 1 bar. I never saw that before. Last year I had my bars disappear but this is different

@Joshy – I’m not sure why you’re getting that message. I think I read somewhere on this forum that has happened to others.

Tracit… ok let me know what they say about that.I have a question for you tho. I filled and the wmr. Said it was accepted by the irs. I checked earlier and it was stillike 2 bar. I check again a few minutes ago and it said we couldn’t find I’m any info for my taxes. Like it was on the screen as if I typed it in wrong. Do u know at all what that means

This is what it says at the end of the email:

“Although this Federal return has been rejected by the Internal Revenue Service, it can still be filed electronically. To do so, just correct the error(s) shown above, then re-transmit the return(s) using TaxAct. You will not be charged an additional electronic filing fee for re-transmitting the return(s). If, for some reason, the error(s) cannot be corrected, you will need to print and file a Federal paper return in TaxAct.”

If the irs rejected your taxes that must mean that they were going thru your taxes right?. But it didn’t show it was acceped… which confuses me

IRS rejected it – the email gave me instructions to correct it and I re-submitted it without another charge. Just waiting for acceptance… again…

UGH… it was rejected. I made a stupid mistake in the charitable donation section on a car we donated to Kars4Kids – I checked the box saying it was over $500 by mistake. It should have been left unchecked. I hope I get accepted soon! Fingers crossed.

Idk why it’s taking so long for you to get accepted.

                                    @Joshy –
I submitted my return on 1/24 around 5:30 pm.
I checked the TaxAct efile status and this is the result, so it looks like it was sent. It hasn’t been 48 hours (yet).

                                    Federal Status Information
                                    Federal Return Status:
                                    Awaiting IRS Acceptance

                                    Federal Return Status Explanation:
A valid federal return has been received for this taxpayer, and the return has been sent to the IRS for processing. At this time, TaxACT has not received information on the status of this return. As a general rule, it typically takes from 24-48 hours to receive feedback from the IRS on the status of a particular return. Continue to check efstatus.taxact.com for updates.

ME (participant) When people see the two names, yours says participant under it because you are registered. I would look for that to tell the difference. :)

I just wanted to point out that there are two people posting using the name “Me”…myself (registered user) and someone else. The other “Me” has done nothing wrong, I just noticed it and thought it may get confusing and wanted to point it out.

I flied on 1/20 with taxact. I never received anything and when I checked their efile status nothing pulled up. I emailed them monday night. They emailed me back this morning and stated they were unable to find anything in their system. They said it wasn’t processed correctly and to submit again. Once I did I received an email and a text within a couple of hours. I immediately checked my efile status on their site and my info pulled up showing accepted.

As long as tax act said you filled then you should be OK. And should be accepted soon. When did you file
