Will the offset line update to offset being paid prior to receiving DDD on WMR? As of this morning the line states I still have a debt and it could possibly be offset. What are your opinions?!! Thanks!

@Tami, that will most likely be your DDD. I am probably going to receive my deposit on the 27th, which is why I’m wondering about the offset. I have seen other posts where people with expected dates of the 27th have called to verify their offsets and it was no longer on there or it states debt was paid.

So I just called the offset line. I knew I had an offset but I have no ddd and no way of getting my transcripts. It tells me how much the offset is and also states payment is set for 2/27. So will that be my ddd for the remainder of my refund?

No. The offset doesn’t occur until IRS approves the refund. Once the refund is approved, if you owe back taxes they’ll take it before sending the remainder (if there is any) to the Federal Treasury to pay. If the treasury has any delinquent amounts in their system to offset, they’ll take your money then. Any left over will then be Direct Deposited or Paper Check mailed. You’ll get a letter about 2 weeks later stating the offset and what it was applied against. Where’s my Refund nor the IRS will have information or knowledge of those offsets.

Sorry I can’t answer your question. But what is the # to call and see if your offset has been paid?
