This is the first year claiming HOH with two dependents. I had twin girls January of 2019, father left the picture right after they were born.
I filed my taxes February 18th. I was accepted the next day with “we have received your tax return and it is being processed” with TT152. About a week later, I lost all of my bars, lost TT152 and status changed to “we have received your tax return and it is STILL processing”
March 9th, received ID Verify letter. Successfully ID verified via telephone with IRS rep on March 11th. On March 17th, my status changed BACK to “we have received your tax return and it is being processed.”
As of today, no refund & not even a single update on refund. Which is fine, I understand they are extremely busy with stimulus checks and behind due to Covid.
I checked my eligibility on the GMP site and It stated I was eligible but needed more information regarding DD. I didn’t get a refund for 2018 because I owed $1200 in student loans. I didn’t choose DD or even enter my bank info because I knew I wasn’t getting a refund to begin with due to student loan debt… so IRS didn’t have my DD info for 2018.
I successfully entered my bank account information on April 17th and I updated today with a DD for April 30th. My question is, since my return is still being processed (even though I successfully ID verified) will I get the $500 for each of my girls AND the $1200 for myself or will I just get my amount? How would they know I have dependents if my return isn’t fully processed?
Thanks in advance for any info! (:
