Paypal Prepaid and Routing Number

I’ve been nice and calm about waiting for my refund until I just noticed that my prepaid card has two different routing numbers on the website for direct deposits. Now I’m terrified I put the wrong one on my return and that my refund will be delayed or even worse, get lost. How do I find out which one I was supposed to use before it gets too late?

I just received my tax refund last month, I guess there was a problem with everyone’s Paypal accounts.

When I was on the Paypal Prepaid website.. I clicked on the link for tax deposit. It gave me the rt# 031101169, which I believe is the same number that came in the envelope when I got the card in the mail as well. Filed my taxes on Feb 17th. Got accepted. Got approved. Got bored and logged into my account yesterday to see if there was an option anywhere to find out if it will show you future pending deposits. Because IRS WMR and TT says my money should be deposited on the 9th. If I dont get it by the 14th to call. Then I realized that the routing number had changed on me to 114924742!! I was sooo aggravated. How can they do that? My account number, however, was the same. I called everyone from the IRS.. To TurboTax.. Paypal Prepaid customer service who called me a liar and said the 031101169 didn’t exist. And was never on their site.. To Santa Barbara Bank & Trust (which I absolutely HATE. They held my money hostage for 3 months last year. I sent them all the proof they asked for repeatedly. I even threatened to get a lawyer. They didn’t care. I called daily. Spoke to a supervisor every single time. I was in tears. Finally after bawling my eyes out over the phone to this man for the 17th time and telling him how he was screwing me and my children out of our money after I’ve complied and done everything they asked while they sit there and laugh holding my money hostage from us… He FINALLY sent a paper check that took FOREVER to get here.) That’s why I tried to make it fool-proof this year. I searched both numbers and they both belong to the same bank. I hope we all get our money! If any of you that are having the same issue as I am.. End up having your money deposited with no issue.. I’d appreciate it if you let us know! Hell my email is [email protected] I just really would like to know what’s going on and what to expect since no company has even tried to be helpful this far. Sorry this was so long!

@ Amanda, I have Paypal Prepaid. Haven’t received refund yet either. SBTPG just received my funds today & disbursed them thru ACH.

Okay. With much worry. I’m on the same boat. So confused. But I did use the routing number as Jae. The one with a direct deposit form. My DDD is 2/18/16. We will see how things turn out. Also two years ago I had a Walmart money card. Had the same thing happen to me. I was told that it didn’t matter. They were both linked to the same account number. Wish us luck

did anyone ever get this resolved? will it go to either routing number?

Paypal is gonna charge you a % of the amount coming in. I would not advise that. You are paying to get your $$$

I did the same and used the wrong routing number, called the help number and they told me I wouldn’t receive my DD with that routing number. I’m so mad

I did the same thing. I called and they claim they don’t see the other routing number and that I don’t have the correct routing number listed.

I have a PayPal Prepaid Mastercard. It’s not being deposited into my PayPal account but onto my card.

I finally reached someone at the card company and they said either routing number should work.

I thought you could only use PP prepaid if you have a bank account linked? I was going to have my refund sent to my PP account but after calling customer service they informed me you have to have a bank account linked. I opted to have my fiancee associate me with his active checking account in order to receive my RAC.

That is insane to have 2 different routing numbers. Hopefully it still gets to your account. Maybe you can call customer service for Paypal and find out what is worst case scenario. I’m thinking worst case would be they send you a paper check, and best case scenario is they re route it to your Paypal being the direct deposit routing number is on there. That is very odd and confusing to have 2 and maybe it is because of deposit limits and tax refunds are usually larger amounts that regular payroll. I really hope you have no delays and all works out well.

That’s what I was afraid of. The routing number on the form is different from the routing number shown on the actual direct deposit page of the account center. There are two different places that show the one to use for tax refunds and both places have a different number. Now I have no clue what to do because I used the other one.

I use PayPal prepaid for my job direct deposit and my school deposits. I use the print form for direct deposit and use the routing number and account number on that form and I have never had a problem. Hope this help!

routing number 114924742 i looked on paypal prepaid faq and it was directly related to a tax refund deposit. Hope this is the one u used
