@opie that’s the generic message the IRS puts out, yes. Note that it says “by” the 22nd. What the PATH act actually requires is that they not release any refunds prior to Feb 14. Therefore, Feb 15 is their green light. And it’s not unreasonable to think that, since WMR updates typically overnight, we will see a change to bars tonight.

Furthermore, the IRS has given up their previous schedule of processing returns two days per week, in favor of now working all days except Sunday. So, in my humble opinion, it is perfectly reasonable to speculate that we could see significant movement on our refunds before the 17th. Would I bet on that? Absolutely not – I expect my WMR to give me a ddd sometime next week. But it’s far from impossible. We could very well have deposits on Tues.

I mean, basically every year PATHers crash the WMR site on the 15th, it wouldn’t surprise me if they put that out to try to stop that this year…lol

WMR on IRS.gov and the IRS2Go app will be updated with projected deposit dates for most early EITC/ACTC refund filers by February 22

WMR on IRS.gov and the IRS2Go app will be updated with projected deposit dates for most early EITC/ACTC refund filers by February 22. So EITC /ACTC filers will not see an update to their refund status for several days after Feb. 15.

Dont panic. I think we are getting a big update tonight and WMR is known to do weird things prior to an update. Check it tomorrow and see what it looks like is my advice
