If it’s past your 21 days and you called the IRS, please comment with your experience with the reps. I’ve had nothing but trouble. The first guy told me the 21 days doesn’t apply, even though I don’t have any credits (just school, accepted 1/24) and that WMR is accurate and if it says processing then it’s processing. Even if it says it for a month or so, I just need to wait it out. Second guy I spoke to said my 21st day is the 15th and to call back then. I can’t believe this tax season, what a huge joke. It’s rather frustrating. I was looking forward to having my refund for my trip on march 12th.. ughh better have it by then :(

We filed 1/23 and got accepted on 1/24 and when I check it under either SS#, it comes up with one bar.
On Feb.2, I checked it under mine (wife) and still one bar; checked it under his, and no bars and “Your tax return is still being processed” message. (No EIC or any credits, hubby had normal W2, Identity Protection Pin and I had a business that lost money; )
On Feb.12, no bars for either one of us now and no 152.
Today was 21 day mark, so I called and was asked a lot of questions, including did I
receive any letters or special codes from IRS, and said no. The only thing we received was a special 6 digit pin number and account transcript with all zeros
IRS agent said it didn’t look like any problem, just one of many that is picked at random for
further review, and once that happens, it is another 6 to 8 weeks!
To reiterate, I specifically asked – if bars are gone, and we have the “Your tax return is still being processed; a refund date will be . . .” then it is at least another 6-8 weeks (unless
there is a problem of some kind, then longer) ?
He said yes, that message indicates another 6-8 weeks!

The IRS isn’t guaranteeing processing times anymore, they only state that 9 out of 10 refunds will be issued within 21 days. However, if 21 days have passed and you cannot get any concrete answer from the IRS as to why your refund hasn’t been issued, you should contact your tax advocate for assistance, particularly if the delay is causing a genuine financial hardship. The advocate can/will intervene on your behalf. More info here: https://www.irs.gov/advocate/local-taxpayer-advocate/contact-your-local-taxpayer-advocate

            Waiting…

If you count the 24th into your 21 days……today is 20 days….if you start from the 25th, your 21st day is the 15th. Ive been seeing alot of people with no PATH credits being delayed also this tax season is SUPER SLOW!! UGG!
