My fiancé had to paper file this year first time ever. I didn’t see a thread and I don’t have any idea what to expect. So if anyone else is with us

TT prepared & sent paper file via snail mail 2/10
EIT & child tax credit … Getting cozy for the long haul.

According to my transcript they had my return since April 15, 2021, (mailed March 24). Didn’t start working on the return until June 16. 2021. DDD July 8, 2021, with $151.22 of interest (extra). Glad it’s finally over.. Hang in there guys.

I cant access my transcripts unfortunately. And I don’t have any offsets.. they scheduled the notice to be mailed July 5.
Just so upsetting if I wasn’t getting my 4gs they could have just told me that like in feb.

Check your transcript and it should be itemized why your balance went to $0.

So did anyone else have wmr update saying they adjusted your refund and now its 0. I had 4190. Claimed 2 kids and u.i
How can it be 0???
Everybody else got money off u.i why tf does mine say 0??

I paper filed on March 20th and just noticed on the IRS2Go App that I no longer get an Error (information doesn’t match) but I am getting to a page saying “Your tax return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available”.
I am hoping this means they actually opened my envelope and scanned my tax return into the system. Let’s see how long it takes to complete the processing (don’t expect anything until October, to be honest).

Same here… WMR finally says processing… I am relieved to know it got there as up until this point I had no idea… If anyone else is waiting, you will get the same notification!

Wmr finally updated guys!! My refund is finally processing. there is hope guys lol .. I didn’t even know if they had recieved it this whole time.
I’m relieved now!!

I mailed my return without tracking on Mar 19 due to not having my ip pin number. On May 26 I got a letter from irs saying i forgot to sign it. I signed it and returned it the next day to the address they provided. On the return form they sent me to sign, it had a stamp date of may 7 of when it was mailed to me to sign. So I’m hoping I dont have to wait another 2 months.

Same here. Sent mine to Fresno, CA as well. I was talking with another person who mailed there’s around the same time and nothing. But someone else I talked to mailed his Feb 27, and received his refund May 12… Something needs to give. I’m frustrated af!

I paper filed on March 20th. I used a USPS tracking number so I know the envelope arrived in Fresno, CA, but that is the last I have heard of it. So far no peep from the IRS: no acknowledgment of receipt, no notice of acceptance, no notice of being processed. I am imagining my envelope is sitting unopened in a huge stack of envelopes in an IRS warehouse somewhere, waiting for the day it will finally be opened while I am waiting for my refund.

Yes they said they have no record of it and if i was to refile right now it could turn into possible amended return If it was to pop up somewhere between

Sorry for the update I’m still struggling to learn this board with all the new updates and I couldn’t find this thread until I seen it on the recents. Yes my fiancé finally got his paper return filed and processed I even screwed up and missed a zero on the account number and they had to send a paper check ( The paper check was received about three weeks ago)

Gm everyone!# yes i was right and my refund eas approve on wrm. It is schedule to ne sent out by May 7. So happy this waiting game is over. I never called them by the way. I had to wait my whole eight weeks as they said.

Mailed tax return March 24. Haven’t gotten an update if Fresno CA even got my return. I received my state early April. This has been frustrating to say the least.

Gor some movement today. Wmr went to being processed. Before that is was still bring processed. Can anyone explain to me what is happening? Remind you i sent return off on feb 28. I am thinking i about to get a date and i Can’t access transcripts. Pld help

Sorry but another update, Transcripts as of date changed to 5/10 yesterday and GMP updated today for plus up mailed by 4/30. I’m kinda bummed it was mailed since everything else I’ve had was DD but I’m glad it is all processing normally and getting what is owed!

@etta I hope thats the case..especially since we already have to wait for them to manually input our info..I just ordered transcript so I’m not sure if I’m a daily or weekly. As of today bars still gone and WMR says refund STILL processing. I will be so ecstatic when I see a DD.

Idk if I am a weekly or daily but I do hope that because they have to manually input our info we won’t be in processing for months like other people..

@ pixxie.seems as mailed returns are loosing bars quickly. I think that is a good sign!! What do you think.. I think too since our returns has to be manually put in the system it shouldn’t take as long for us to get a date but i believe depending on if we are weekly or daily…let me know what u think

WMR says still processing, but my transcripts updated overnight! DD date of 4/21! So I mailed via Fedex received by IRS in Kansas City on 2/26 – WMR said incorrect info until last week – got one bar then that it was received, 2 days later bars left and went to still processing. I kept hearing of people saying still processing for months add that to paper filing and I thought for sure I wasn’t going to see anything until summer. So there is hope!

My state finally processed yesterday which I was told if federal hasnt been touched or started being processed that state would list incomplete which it did till yesterday wmr has no updates no recieved status for federal so idk hoping my federal has been touched just no updates maybe. Fed ex seem like they actually fill out the return for via certified mail. USPS idk I haven’t had any luck on them currently with mail or packages. They are trash rn . Which I understand but still very frustrating.

@pixie same boat usps finally called me yesterday to tell me pretty much there is a big bin that returns go to for that zip code. I never even recieved the recieved notification that usps delivered. Lady just said pretty much hopefully it’s in the bin. No exacts tho being she said they are way behind and a lot of stuff hasnt been getting scanned. So I’m waiting to even see if irs recieved still.

Certified mail says mine arrived February 19th. Still no update on WMR. Just says they have no record. It will be 8 weeks on Friday.

I had to mail my return for the first time ever this year as well. I’m filing jointly with my spouse who is a NRA. Has anyone’s info even popped up in Where’s My Refund tool? Tracking says it reached IRS on February 19th. Nothing is showing up in WMR and it’s now been over 6 weeks… super simple return, too. No EIT or child tax credit. No dependents. Hopefully we’ll get some updates soon!

My state return was deposited on 3/5. I’m wondering if the federal returns are held until the 6 week mark before processing. Maybe it’s just coincidence.

No, I’m sorry. I meant I got my certified mail receipt for mailing my federal taxes. Whenever I go to check my refund status on the IRS site, I get the message that they have no record of it.
I have received my state refund.

Mailed mine on 3/2. State refund hit my bank a couple days ago but I never received the delivery receipt back. Fed delivery receipt shows 3/15 even though I just got it back on Friday. Where’s My Refund is still showing as no record.
