Paper Check?

      I had a DDD for the 16th but entered my account number wrong. My transcript updated two days later saying that it was cancelled on 2/28, notice sent on 3/07, and then new 846 code for 2/28 (same day it was cancelled?). My question is has anyone had this happen or had a paper check mailed this year? When did you get it in terms of your 846 date. Thanks.

          My transcripts were updated overnight with an 846 date of 3/4/2022. I’m a paper check too, shoutout to TaxSlayer for fouling this one up. At least they warned me with the following via email.

          “An error occurred during the transmission of your federal return that changed your refund delivery method from direct deposit to mailed paper check. This means that your federal refund is being issued via mailed check from the IRS.”

            I didnt get a notice that mine was mailed but they mailed it anyway for whatever reason. I saw it on WMR. Apparently they didnt even try DD. They dont know why it happened so i sit and wait
