I’m getting a paper check when exactly will it be mailed?

I recommend signing up for the free USPS.com : “signed delivery” where you can see all your mail for that day each morning. Also can see all mail scanned for you for the past 7 days. WORKS GREAT and allows you to go do other things like WORK instead of sitting by mailbox all day like a heroine addict at a Suboxone clinic!!!!

@Beastmode….I’m not 100% sure but I’m pretty sure that right on the envelope of the department of treasury checks it says DO NOT FORWARD. The IRS does not forward checks…but please dont take my word for it. You may want to look into it.

It was just a check. No other documents so no need to worry about as number.

@perry what all documentation was included with the check do you know? This is my first year doing it this way since I didn’t do derive deposit.

Last year I had my teens refund mailed and it came fast. However that was not path. Mail in general can vary by your area. I’d think they would be mailed out the 18th after the holiday. One thing I highly suggest is to register at the USPS website for informed delivery. The USPS will email you a copy of the scanned mail coming for that day. At least then you will know that morning when it will come.

I have never had a paper check, however, I highly doubt that the IRS would send a paper check with SS numbers on it. That’s just asking for identity theft.

Has anyone ever had their refund sent to them by check? If so, what all paperwork is included besides the check itself? I’m having my mail forward to my sister and she’s kinda shady, last thing I want is for her to have access to my social and my daughters as well!
