Owe taxes; 3rd stimulus yes or no?!

If I didn’t qualify for a refund on my taxes and instead owed the IRS $81 this year, will I still qualify for the 3rd stimulus check?

They said irs or and government agency will not take your stimulus not even back child support they said maybe private debt collectors

I think you do still get one. Unless of course you owed more than what your stimulus amount is.

@confused pt2: I never got any notice from either bank..Wells or US Bank…..luckily I had no $ in there and had closed them but never got any notice of it! Portfolio Revovery and CSC are the dirty rotten scumbags who tried it…don’t risk it!

@confused..They do to garnish wages. I have had it happen. As far as taxes, they can freeze your bank account and you won;t knoiw until it is too late. They are supposed to notify you, but they are sneaky. Trust me. I found out after fighting a wage garnishment of 25% from the creeps in court, that they had tried to take $ from 2 of my checking accts but I had already closed them!

Don’t credit card companies have to have a judgment from a court to take money out of your wages and/or bank accounts? I didn’t think they could just grab it without one…

@Confused Traci is right. They are not holding stimulus due to state or federal taxes owed…also not for child support or student loans. Stimulus CAN be garnished for credit card debt! So, if you get the $$ and think you may owe credit card $$..go to an atm asap and take it out!!!!
