Filed 01/14 accepted 01/19, had one bar until 2/6 when it disappeared. Called IRS yesterday at my 21 day mark and was told “it looks like it’s still under review, call back in 30 days if you don’t hear from us”. Same address/employer/bank for 16 years, single filer, standard deductions. Refund to go into MY checking account. WTF is there to review?
Last year same situation other than they sent me a 4464c letter10 days after being accepted(1/30), letter instructs me to call in 60 days if no refund or further letters received.
3/16 Receive CP05 letter (same contents as 4464c – instructs me to call in 45 days if no refund or further letters received. 5/01 After 45 days are up I call the IRS, Representative tells me that he will submit a referral and if I do not hear anything back from them (receive a refund or another review letter), that I should call them again in 30 days. Never heard anything back or received another letter so I called them at 30 days and was told they would submit another referral and that I should have my refund in two weeks. A few days later IRS calls my employer and verify s my income, a week later I get my refund.Did not receive my refund until MAY 20th. All they needed to do was to call my employer and verify my wages! How in the hell can I get flagged two years in a row? Bastards
