Ordering Transcripts

So today I was finally able to order my account transcript but return this is the message I’m getting :

A transcript is not available for the year you have requested. For information about requesting an actual copy of your return use IRS Form 4506. Other transcripts and Form 4506 are available if you contact us at 1-800-908-9946, our automated telephone self service. You can see information about requesting a copy of your return as well.

Does that mean they are finalizing my return ? Anyone else with this ? I’m in dead cycle 201601 .

I was able to order both transcripts today for those of you who could only order account transcripts try again for the return it goes through last then we should wake up to DDD YAAAY

Still can’t order my return transcripts, just the account. Makes me wonder what is going on. I have to imagine there aren’t going to be too many more updates being that it’s 520pm EST on a Friday. This sucks. I don’t have any offsets…I don’t know what’s going on

When I call the transcript # it says my ssn is not a valid entry???

ok so i just checked again, and i was able to order my return transcript moments ago.. Ya’ll should give it a try, I am hoping this means we will get a DDD in an update tomorrow morning.. I am still wondering how i got thrown in with the weekly cycle if i have no offsets or id theft, foreign address.. etc.. any clue anyone?

For the last couple of years I’ve been getting an approved update on Saturday the following week of filing. I was able to order my account transcript but not return. I believe we all should get approved this weekend with deposits next week. Hoping!

I files on Jan 16th, and got accepted on the 19th. Was not able to order transcripts till this morning! No change in wmr, only at 1 bar. How long before I get my dd?

Looks like most of us weekly filers who were in the first cycles are able to do transcripts this morning. That’s positive news! Hopefully we will see a WMR update in the morning. That’s how it was last year after I learned what a transcript was and how to read it.

My former tax preparer doesn’t even know about that code and wants me to teach him. They charged me $300 to file my taxes. How much should I charge for the transcript code lesson?

I filed 1/25 and was accepted 1/25 and I was able to order my account transcripts. Not return ones yet but I am going to check back with those this afternoon.

I applied on 1/20 through Tax Act and was accepted on 1/20. Only one bar showing on WMR. I am sure I am weekly because in the past years I have had an offset. This year I don’t tho. I have not been able to get an account or return transcript until this morning. I was able to get both. Making progress!

Are the transcripts for this year the 2015 transcripts? If so I was just able to order mine!

I was JUST able to order my return transcript . I wasn’t able to an hour ago but now I can ! Go back in there an check ! :)

I just logged into IRS website and was finally able to order both my return and account transcripts, but still at one bar on WMR. Filed & accepted on 1/24. Any guess as to how long it will be for DD?

Maybe i could shed some light to everyone that getting account transcript.for those that has gotten an account transcript it means that your return has been through all checks for debt that you may have.so for those that got there account transcript and still have topic 152 and no error code on wmr that mean that you have no offsets and you may get your full refund..also it mean you are in the final stages of being processed.

Right because of recent fraud this year they are only allowing you to order through the mail. You used to be able to see them online and print them off yourself.

I’m a weekly account and was able to order both transcripts this morning as of 6:30am Central Time. WMR should update over the weekend and show deposit for early next week like years past. My Indiana return is still processing.

I also moved last year in November to be exact and before it made me put in old address for transcripts and didn’t couldn’t order anything now it is letting me put in new address for account transcript but can’t get return transcript yet. Progress maybe?

I haven’t been able to order any transcripts until today. I am able to get account not return. But I know I am a weekly. I think once a weekly filer, always a weekly filer. I haven’t had an offset in a long time but my ex husband always had an offset and I had to file an injured spouse the last couple of years. So in my humble opinion I think I will have my refund by Wednesday the 3rd. Fingers crossed.

I have a feeling it does mean we are in the final stages of processing and hopefully we will be able to order our return transcripts over the weekend and get a DDD for next week sometime! :)

im sorry, but what is a dead cycle?

well i actually moved last year, so i was only able to get into the transcripts with my old address and couldnt order anything for 2015, up until about 6am today, now it only lets me in through my new address that i filed my tax return with, and i can only get the account transcript.

We could also fallen into a dead cycle for today, or they are behind. It’s actually process everyday so Monday through Friday returns are processed in past years I’ve even had updates late Sunday night..

Maybe we all check through the day and see if we are able to get our return transcript, and post back here when it becomes available..

If you can order your return transcripts it means your refund has been processed. It literally what the return transcript is. A record of what happened during the process of your refund. Account transcript is just your tax payer profile in carbon copy. You want to be able to order that return transcript then you know your money is on its way:) I am getting the same message so it’s simply means my return isn’t finished being processed yet.

by the way, how do you know what cycle you are in? and if i am reading correctly, being processed today means we are in the “weekly processing cycle” and the only way you get put in that is if you have an offset or foreign address, or id theft, etc.. but i do not have any of that.. any chance people randomly get put in that cycle too? or did i just happen to be processed the same day as them?

i am literally in the same boat, i was able to order my account transcript, but when i try to order the return transcript it gives me that same message… anyone have any info for us?
