So I just called the offset line because I knew I had a small offset. It said my tax return of 2/3 had been applied to my offset. I still have 1 bar on wmr. Filed 1/26 accepted minutes later. Was able to order both transcripts today. Hope that helps.

I found out from the offset number they took the entire refund for a student loan I wasn’t even in default with! The company that housed our student loan went bankrupt so they took all of our refund because that’s what the government does. Not only that we were forced to set up a new payment plan paying more money than we were just to keep them from taking next year’s taxes!

I was able to order my tax transcripts yesterday, Jan. 29. Today I looked at WMR and is shows the following: Your Personal Tax Data Social Security Number or IRS Individual Taxpayer Identification Number: ***-**-**** Filing Status: Head of Household Your Expected Refund Amount: ******** Refund Status Results Print. Take the survey. Your tax return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available. Please Note: For refund information, please continue to check here, or use our free mobile app, IRS2Go. Updates to refund status are made no more than once a day.”
Small state offset, the automated line said this, which I am aware of but no DDD. Please help!

Regina,
You should be given an amount of your offset after it has been applied from your return. At that time it should also say the date of your return that it was applied from. Mine told me my amount yesterday plus said it had been applied from my return of 2/3. That was yesterday then I woke up to two bars and ddd of 2/3. Hope that helps -

If u call offset line and it says u have a debt then your refund is still processing. If it says OFFSET then your refund has been approved and it should tell u a date which will be ur ddd mine is 2/3. I called yesterday before wmr updated. When wmr updated this morning it had ddd of 2/3 also. I hope this helps

Jessica if it saya DCF that means you have an offset for child support obligations. You would have to call your local child support agency to get more information. Im waiting on my offset to be processed as well. Child support already took my entire state but it hasnt been applied to my case. It also doesnt give any amount as to what is being taken.

Gail,
My experience with offsets is that they do usually take it twice. Ugh. Then it does take months to get it back. -

If u do not get an offset amount and date they will be applying it from our probably means they have not finished processing your return. When I called it told me my amount and date of my return it was applied from. This morning I got two bars on wmr with ddd of the same date the offset line gave me

I filed on 1/21 I was accepted on 1/22 but wmr has not updated any information about my refund I got a small offset should I be concerned or should I call to find out why it’s not updating on wmr

@Brittany Just means you don’t owe anything. I actually think the offset is immaterial. If your return is done, you’ll get information pretty much anywhere.

Same here! Just read the post here and called the offset number just now.
I had called several days ago and was only advised of the agency that was skins the offset.
But tonight I came again and was also told the offset amount and my DDD.
Thank you for the tip!
