      received a ddd for this Wednesday but also topic 203. I’m reading that usually if you have a offset, once they give you a ddd your refund amount will change, No? I’m still seeing a ddd of this Wednesday and my full refund amount. Any,chance I’ll still get my refund Wednesday? Offset is student loan. No kids, filed single. First time I’m getting this offset letter.

      Shouldn’t wmr update my reduced amount? Still says I’m getting full refund, called student loan department they say they have no record of pulling my tax refund but I still got topic 203 for my student loan.

            @Mary It’s Bass & Associates
            I checked my transcripts and it’s not showing the offset, just the 846 Refund Issued Code with the full amount. No offset code, just the norm.

              @Jerrica who has you student loans now? I had Debt Management & Collection and they didn’t take mine the first time I seen the 203, but the next year they did and then i worked out a payment plan and just paid it off.

                I decided to try and check transcripts online instead of waiting for the mail. I was able to finally this year. I’m not showing the offset code on my transcript, just the norm along with the 846 Refund Issued and showing the full amount. Does anyone know if they can still change this with WMR showing the offset Topic 203?

                  @Jibbbjawww78 I’ve called the TOP call Center and it told me to call the collection agency with my loan. I did, they told me they don’t have any information about an offset they can give me, to contact the IRS. But I read the IRS doesn’t give that info. I’m so confused.

                    You can check your transcripts, it should have your total payment amount and any amount that has been reduced. I have an offset, my showed in the transcripts. Best wishes:)

                      Oh ok. I think when I call the offset number I spoke with a lady and she told me. But the automatic system just tells u if someone in offsetting it. Make sure u call ur student loan and apply for financial hardship to c if u can get ur refund back or the portion they may take.

                        @Nona363 I called the TOP and it didn’t give an amount. Just a number for the collection agency that has my student loan.

                          Student loan took my entire refund a couple years back. Now I make sure I get a forbearance or deferment before it goes in default. Call the IRS offset number it will tell u ur offsets and who is taking it. Hopes this help

                            @jerrica so I have bad news lol, I called the dept of education just now and they said yes you are being offset this year. Ugh. They played with my emotions 😂 call them and speak to an operator!

                              @T yes let’s hope! But…I’ve read some agencies can levy your bank account. 😬 I believe it also said they have to go through court to do it. This is more stressful than it was waiting for the DDD. Glad to know some people still got their refund!

                                @jerrica yeah I’m hoping someone who went thru this before could update us lol. I’m reading tons of people received the offset 203 notice on wmr and still woke up to their refund. Let’s hope we slip thru the cracks 😆

                                  @T I really hope they don’t take it. I’ve heard the amount doesn’t reduce on the WMR site even if you have an offset. But…we should have received a letter if we had an offset, they can’t take it without informing us.

                                    @jerrica yup I’m in the same situation almost exact. Can’t get ahold of my agency, says it Could be offset, wmr shows my ddd for Wednesday and my expected refund hasn’t been reduced still shows my full refund and approved. Awful

                                      I’m in the same boat, student loan, offset topic with DDD for Wednesday, no letter from IRS or whoever sends the letter to show an offset. Just tells me they may take all or part of the refund. I called the number given and it tells me to call the collection agency that has my loan. I can’t get ahold of the collection agency my loan was transferred to. Wondering if they’ll take my refund. If they do I’m hoping to file an Injured Spouse Form since I don’t work and it’s my husband’s taxes.
