      I had an offset last week when I called when I checked today to see updates it was not there and said I didn’t owe anything.

            @Jaime It’ll tell you that that “Your refund may be reduced to pay a past due obligation such as child support another federal state agency or state income tax. The Bureau of the fiscal service (BFS) will send you a notice of any offsets. The details of the debt are not provided to the IRS. I only know cause I’m on child support and WMR UPDATED last yr to this. This year I only owe 1500 so the rest will be foward too me since they take my state (which got approved) 2/18/18

              Got a question.. if the offset has been paid will it go off the offline or will it tell you that it has been paid. Or just repeat that u have an offset

                I agree. Luckily I was expecting my offset. I just wasn’t able to get it paid off completely before tax time. I had a student loan in the past that took everything every year until I finally got them paid off. I missed out on the Obama stimulus and everything.

                    They are still taking whatever amount we owe even though the offset line doesn’t list it anymore. Based on past experiences with offsets they are going to make sure they get their money. I feel like our refunds have processed and they have allocated whatever funds to the debt and now that they are paid they removed them from the offset line. I wish it would just say its been paid or removed or something.

                      Offset is confusing me,
                      Hotline says one thing.
                      paper from dept of education says another,
                      called and got a guy who was less than helpful

                        I had both credits so my WMR was on PATH until the other day and updated to processing this morning.

                          Same thing for me. I figured it would say that it was paid but I guess once it was paid in full it is removed from the system. I’m wondering how long until the remaining amount gets sent out to us. I used TT and they haven’t received anything yet. Hopefully over night it hits.
