      Does anyone know what is eligible for an offset. I know fed taxes and any money due to any other fed agency as well as state taxes, child support and certain worker compensation payments, but what about debts to state agencies?

            How do you recieve a notice on what’s being offset? By snail mail or ups, fedex?

              Pretty much any debt you owe can sue an get a tax levy I work for debt collection law firm For a major credit card company, and I see this all time people are calling in because their tax refund was garned . But it takes a long time and a lot of ignoring notices for that to happen and go though the courts.

                If you owe state agencies such as unemployment. Social services, local offices that can place a hold on your refund…you can look forward to a possible offset..and they’ll get theirs before any comes your way
