what are my options? I have an offset for my whole amount and I need my return this year.

  Call your local state IRS advocate and ask them for help.

  The tax advocate people can help you. I don’t know what your offset entail, you can contact them for a hardship. I’ve never done one personally but, I am aware if the tax advocate that help for people in your situation. There is a pinned post in here specific for tax advocate just look under the 2019 topics and you’ll see it.

  You can claim a hardship. Show proof of the hardship and wait to see what the IRS decides. Maybe get a tax advocate to start it off.
