When they say that the money will be available in your account on the 27th, they actually have to send it sooner. It isn’t instantaneous, it takes a minimum of 48 hours after the ACH is sent. So, realistically, we should be seeing some movement on WMR, people are getting a generic message and no bars. I did read an article stating that the no bars wasn’t really that big of a deal, just the site being overloaded and the graphics being unable to load. I filed 1/24 and was accepted 1/28, there are people who didn’t file until after 2/1 that have received updates and DDD, it is perfectly legitimate for myself, and others with my same filing and acceptance date to be questioning what is going on. I don’t really care if it’s going to take them until March to get me my refund, but I want to know, this silence and lack of information is frustrating. They are government employees, the are absolutely answerable to me, you, and every other tax paying citizen of this country. Everyone citing the shutdown as the reason that things are taking longer, really aren’t paying attention to what is going on. You have Sally Taxpayer that followed the advice of the IRS and filed in early January, as soon as she received her W-2’s accepted right away on opening day, that is sitting on a generic “processing” message since then, then you have Joe Schmoe that waited until February to file and he is happily sipping margaritas because he received his deposit. It’s the lack of rhyme and reason, the complete lack of consistency and the absolute radio silence coming from the IRS and Treasury that has people so annoyed.

Exactly thats what im saying they do it to stop a million calls but its not going to work not when some people with those credits already gotten their money its going to be a very busy day for the irs

Last year had 27th to and I got mine around 20 . Look they put 27th so if for some reason not in by the deposit date they don’t have 1 million people blowing them up

Ok like I said we all know thats not true because people with those credits are already getting ddd so the 23rd is some standard message they came up with to try and keep call volume down people that filed their taxes actually gets processed but a hold goes on the returns with the Eic and Actc and its not fair that some get dd and others have to wait we need our money as well and i read the message its says people will have debits in the acct by the 27th but WMr wont update until the 23rd which is a lie because people already got their money

The irs puts that message on there site to limit the calls to there centers. I got mine last year on the 27th. I’m not sweating it yet. I just find it interest people filed almost a week after me have a ddd. With credits. This season makes no sense.

I seen the 27th myself it’s on the page. Maybe your hoping for the 22, but the page says people will not start seeing refunds till the 27th through match 4. It’s right there in black and white. No offense.

No the irs stated you will have your refund and your bank acct by the 27th how can they promise that if people are not processed they know its alot of us getting these messages honestly i think we all have the 22nd it just needs to update on the WmR

The website said the 27th. The people who supposedly received their money already are just lucky. Majority will not see any movement on wmr till the 23rd ddd between 27-March 4. It says it on the website. I don’t know why people don’t believe what the site says.
