I just got off of the phone with the IRS. My return was accepted 19 days ago. They told me that even if it was accepted prior to the 19th, the 21 days begin on the 19th. She said that everyone this year should expect to get their refunds closer to the 21 day point than in years past. She also told me that return transcripts are not available until 2 to 3 weeks after a return has been completely processed. Those of you that have been able to order them may find that they are blank when they arrive.

Big question. Can you still get a DDD without a return script?

            Filed 14th
            accepted 19th
            HNR Block
            one bar no return script.

I am really hoping for a ddd tonight for 2/5 It is the big Wednesday update, I have noticed on these forums alot of people who filed and accepted 19th have been waiting longer then others, 2/9 is my 21 day mark and if they want to get my refund to me before 21 days it will have to be this Friday.

I think that’s true. Too much is put into transcripts. The best thing one can do is to check WMR and “hurry up and wait”. I see so often where people bash the IRS on here and say they put out false information. I think they put out a lot of blanket information in order to cut down on calls.

Being a CSR rep myself, especially during Open Enrollment for Health Insurance (worked for Marketplace) and rush for college students I can assure you CSR reps will tell you ANYTHING to get you off the phone and on to the next person.
CSR’s are only worried about one thing, ACH. We worry about our average call handle time, most places I have worked at has been under 5 minutes. Last place I worked at was 4 minutes. Now for the Marketplace, there was no ACH because some calls were new applications and took almost 2 hours sometimes.
When I was getting calls back to back and people were complaining about every single little detail, YEP instead of getting frustrated and telling you to jump off a bridge I will say whatever makes you happy in order to move to a more pleasant person. Now if I can calm you down and try to work it out, I will do my best to help you in anyway possible.
When it came to college students and they would call in after their school would take their systems down for maintenance bitching about, “My homework is due tonight and I can’t turn it in.” The first thought in your head is well they give you six days to turn it in every week and you wait until the last second. You can’t say that but oh you are so thinking it. I would just politely tell them, we can escalate this issue and it will be working within 24 hours. I had no idea that it would be working within 24 hours but that is called a stock answer.
I am betting that the IRS works the same way with their CSR’s also. They more than likely have a script of some sort that they have to read whenever you call in and ask them a number of questions. When will my refund arrive? Stock Answer… So on and so forth.
Not meaning to ramble on or anything, but being on the other side of the call I know what these people are going through, However call center work is my favorite job because its simple but it can be so stressful. I have came out of work crying because I couldn’t help people with no income get anything affordable because their state chose not to expand Medicaid.
So when you are on a call with these people, please don’t give them too hard of a time lol. I am sure they are just like us anxious to receive their money too.

That’s simply untrue. I ordered both of my account and return transcripts on 1/29. I got them in the mail yesterday, and they are not blank.

                  Filed & Accepted 1/24
                  Ordered Transcripts 1/29
WMR Updated to 2nd bar 1/30
                  DDD 2/3
SBBT sent my refund to my bank on 2/2

I hope she is right, I am really hoping to have a 2/5 ddd but still only able to order acct transcript which became available on Friday for me. 2/10 is my 21 day mark still have 1 bar with tt 152 but not being able to order return transcript is really starting to mess with me, im hoping if.something was wrong I would know by now. I hope people keep us updated as to whether the.get a ddd tomorrow without having been able to order return transcript.

She gave you bad info. I ordere my account AND return transcript on 1/29. The IRS customer service reps will all tell you different things, hard to say what’s accurate.
