Has anyone received their NC State taxes for tax year 2015. I been checking and mine just says processing. Received my federal refund already but what is taking NC so long?

Been waiting 16 weeks. You read correctly…16 weeks. E-Filed with HR Block. Federal came back in 2 weeks. I’m calling WRAL and seeing if this is a potential news story,

My return was accepted January 30. I called, they did not start actually processing it until February 23rd. On Friday April 1 it finally says “your check has been written, please allow additional time for delivery” My refund has to be mailed. So it’s no telling when I will receive it. I checked this morning it still has the same message.

I filed Feb 7th electronically and still have not received mine. I know people that filed on paper and have already received theirs. I think they are going to hold them until they have received some money from those that have to pay.

I efiled Jan 25 2016 and still haven’t received my refund I have called every week and they say there isn’t nothing wrong with it just taking longer to process. There have been people to file after me to get there’s and I still havent.

Still nothing and it’s been 7 weeks. Now the site says wait 72 hours before checking again.

Well after 6 and a half weeks it says mine has been sent to my bank.. they are definitely taking forever this year.

NC accepted my return on 01/29 and it still says “processing”
I filed electronically and my fiancee filed after I did and with a paper return and he has already received a letter stating that they are keeping his refund.

Mine’s been stuck on the “your check has been written message” I did direct deposit so I’m hoping it changes soon to say it went to my bank. Ugh.

NC taxes accepted Jan.31st. Today, 3/19 it finally switched to -Thank you for filing electronically. Your 2015 refund check has been written.- 7 weeks waiting. No deposit in account as of today.

Ya mine still hasn’t changed. Tue makes 7weeks. It’s ridiculous.

Just checked again and it says the “thank you for filing electronically, your check will be written out soon message” which means since I actually got direct deposit, it should be here next week!

Mine were accepted feb 2. It still says processing. 6.5 weeks today. :(

Mine got accepted 5th. For the last few weeks it’s been saying received but not finished processing. Now it says that and also has added in that Refunds with errors or that require review will take longer. Mine hasn’t said anything to me about any errors or anything so I’m not understanding what’s taking so long. It’s been 6 weeks today.

Mine was accepted according to NC on Jan 31. So far the website says it has been received but not finished processing. Mine is going on 6.5 weeks. Talk about slow. I had my Federal back in 5 days yet still waiting for NC.

Filed January 19th. Just today received this new message on the NC refund page “Thank you for filing electronically. Your 2015 refund check has been written. Please allow additional time for delivery.” Didn’t elect for a mail check I requested DD. Got a feeling this can’t be good..

Nate. You can’t go off the date you filed. You must go by the date they accepted it. Thursday marked 6 weeks since they started accepting returns someone said it could take 6-7 weeks. We will see. Bc it’s been almost 6weeks since I filed now. Yea I’m getting upset but dang

Very fustrsting. Does anyone know what is going on and what the delay is? Like I said I filed mine middle of Jan and had to wait til it was accepted on Jan 29th. My son we did his 3 weeks after mine and he got his Friday. Of course I am worry there is a problem with the return. Ugh. I received my federal refund on time.

Michelle… ya several people filed after me and got theirs the other day. Mine says the same as yours going on 5 weeks now. Very frustrating.

Mine said to call them for info on my refund for 2 week. Now yesterday it days it has been received but still being processed. I filed the 20th of Jan but it wasn’t accepted til Jan 29th. My son filed his after me aND receive his refund yesterday. This very fustrating.

Mine was accepted Jan 29th, had error message to call about refund amount for the past 3 weeks, then switched to received, but still processing yesterday.

I have called every few days to check in on the error message. Each time they said all is fine, error messages are a system glitch, and refunds are taking closer to 6-7 weeks this year, though some have already received. Good news is they have answered immediately each time I have called. Just have to have more patience this year.

I finally got my NC refund deposited this morning. It was accepted January 29, then last week it changed to check has been written and yesterday it changed again to refund has been sent to bank.

It’s been 4 weeks as of Tuesday and still nothing. It’s been sitting at “we have received your return, however processing is not done” in that kind of sort. It use to say it has not been processed, then switch to call for assistance. I wish they hurry up.

I live in va and work in nc. Nc by far takes the longest! I got va before my federal.

I filed everything on 1/20. Of course they didn’t start accepting until 1/28 or 1/29. I checked the next week and it said processing. It had been the same until 2/22 when it told me to call. I called and she said it’s still processing..2/24 it said the check has been written which means dd will be soon in my case it was the next day.

They don’t hesitate to take out your taxes or garnish your wages stop taking the money out of my check if you don’t have the funds to pay us and I don’t care how much it is it’s our money and WE NEED IT NOW

Its about time people start standing up government got it all wrong they work for us we pay them some were that got changed they sat back get rich we sat back and struggle why they make us pay more and more and for the people they take there taxes over a bill they need worry about paying there on bills on time don’t worry about ours we are losing rights because we are just sating back letting it happen they swear to up hold the constition we see all to well how good that works let’s take america back

I e-filed Jan. 7th. The return was accepted on Jan. 29th. As of today, that’s been a full 4 weeks – still no update other than “hasn’t been processed.”

I called them yesterday and had to verify my information. I checked today and it said refund received and still processing.

I got the same message about calling to check my refund amount and the same hang up when I called. I think it was a glitch. That message lasted for a couple days. Now it’s back to received but not processed. I filed Jan 19, accepted Jan 25. First the state greatly increased our taxes a couple yrs ago and now they can’t get your tiny refund to you in a reasonable time.

I spoke with an agent today. They just started processing them today and she said I had a couple of days to wait. She said it take 4 weeks and its been 3.5 for me. I told her OK I usually always got mines before my federal. Guess they starting something new this year.

Mine now says..Please call 1-877-252-3052 for assistance about your refund amount. Select individual income tax and listen for the refund option to speak with an agent.

What does this mean? I called and the phone hung up on me when I was being transfered to agent.

Hey NC Girl, most states (including NC) take 2-3 weeks longer then Federal taxes do, depending on the state and situation.

Be patient, you’ll get your money… just breathe and relax, no use stressing about it hun.
