      Hello,

So supposedly my preparer efiled for me on 1/27, right before I went to California for a trip. I thought everything was fine but I came back around Feb 10th and I realized my tax refund still wasn’t available. I talked to my preparer who said my refund was still “processing” which I thought was extremely odd so I called the IRS who said they have no record of my tax return for the year.

Idk what to do, should I refile on my own or wait? Shouldn’t it have processed a LONG time ago??

I’m so angry …I filed my return on the 1/23 they got them on same day and I got my fed return in 10 days…state of ca has has my return and the site first said they got and it would be couple weeks and then week later said no info…I called and they needed signatures of me and my husband verifying we were us….faxed that back in …called 2 weeks later and the rep had no info in front of her she was clueless…said to call back she thought they got the form with signatures…so I wait two weeks call again and they say they are still processing it….today I check the site and it says they need another month and once they make a decision …….a decision wtf????? No decision is gonna be made I don’t get wth is going on but it’s a bunch of bs!!!!!!!!! Tired of hearing the different excuses that each rep gives

With all of the glitches that have happened internally, I would at least call again before you file again, if you can wait til your preparer responds or returns. You dont want to get dinged for a duplicate submission that could potentially cause a huge delay @ 9-12 weeks.

Haven’t been able to get in contact with him since he’s on a trip returning in a few days…But since I called the IRS and they have no record on file is it safe to assume that it didn’t go through? I mean it’s been a while now.

Your preparer should be able to provide your DLN thats assigned once its been accepted by IRS.
