NO More Bars but Still Topic 152 is this a bad sign? can someone give me insight

Up until this morning I was able to see my WMR bars and the Topic 152. The morning my bars are gone and I still have the topic 152. I am a 1/19 filer and accepted same day. Anyone have any insight on this. Does it mean I am being reviewed? or has anyone else had this happen and it turned out ok

I filed on the 19th was accepted on the 19th I had bars up until yesterday and I got a letter in the mail saying that needed me to send in a copy of my w2 before they could process my return I still have a topic of 152 I don’t know how long it will take now that I had to send in my w2 but I hope it doesn’t delay it too much

It means you are under review go to you tude and search missing bars it means irs cant guarantees your refund be sent out in 21 days a person has to look at yor return

@dom… Same thing for me…called the IRS told me it’s usually a good thing that I should have a date tomorrow or Wednesday but he wouldn’t look anything up bc it hasn’t been 21 days..

Bars are still gone but Topic 152 is still there. Tomorrow is my 21st day I am not sure if I want to call or just hang tight until Tuesdays update.

It’s a good thing when you’re bars are not there my cousin my aunt my friend my mother and myself bars went away on feb 2 midnight my mother bars and tt 152 went away we was all able to order transcripts on Feb 5 woke up Feb 6 with a date for Feb 10 with two bars up so this year I think bars missing meaning they working on your return cause the system got messed up any other year it meant under review this year is different if you get any other code other than 152 then it’s a problem my sister bars went away with the code 9001 the same day our bars did she had to call and do the identity thing I just think they done up graded this year and this how it will be for now on when they pull your return bars come down if it’s any thing wrong code pop up

I am going to try and think positive that is will update in the next day or so with a DD… Yea man if WE OWED the IRS we could not tell them call me after 21 days…lol This is a no win situation with them bc they take our $$ thru the year and when its time to give it back they move slow. It is almost like lending a friend $$ and they take their time paying it back or never pay it back.

@dom me and my wife filed separately like in the middle of jan, got accepted the next day. towards the end of jan we both lost our bars but still had our 152 topic. on the 5th of feb she was able to order her transcript, i tried but my transcript wasn’t on record. the very next day her bars re appeared and gave her a ddd of feb 10. i checked mine and it was still processing. dont know if its true or not but allota people has said once they were able to order a transcript, they got a ddd within a few days later. what a coincidence my wife got hers the very next day after realizing she could order a transcript. the irs is real tricky, you can never figure them out. i would of thought i had a ddd the minute i found out she had one. its allota rumors going around saying that when you lose your bars your being manually reviewed, or saying its happening because the irs been having problems with system software. saying that people who filed early got re sequenced and pushed to the bottom of the pile as they were trying to fix certain glitches. nobody really knows but the irs, and they are too lazy to tell us why and use the excuse of it not being 21 days so they wont have to look us up. they are some of the rudest people i ever met. worst then the police. if we owed them money they’ll get it back by force or lock us up. if they owed us money, they tell us to call back in 21 days. so to top it off, you wont have true facts until either your 21 days are up, or until you actually get a ddd. dont lose hope, my wife’s bars disappeared and came back before her 21 days was up.

Wouldn’t worry they are just working on it. It appears that the irs is working a little backwards i wouldn’t doubt more of the 1/19er’s getting ddd by 2/12. Last week you couldn’t of paid me to think id have a ddd this week but we finally got one 2/6! So don’t get frustrated I helped people with their taxes around 2/1and already got their refunds so that kinda sucked with me filing in the 22/23. Keep hope alive people it’s taking a while but as long as your code hasn’t changed from 152 you are okay no need to worry just another week or so to go!

My amount has never once shown up. Only my filing status and tt 152.

Cannot order return transcript either. Getting really tired of seeing people who filed in Feb get their money while I have no info, no letter requesting anything, nothing.

I called them and finally got a person who said everything was fine maybe 3 or 4 days ago. I figured by sat or sun I would have some movement. Nothing. I don’t think everything is fine. I honestly think I’m going to have an ID verify letter arrive weeks later or either have to send in a health insurance form or dependent proof since exH and I alternatie years, but I know he has not tried to claim my son…and we have NEVER had to send in forms about alternating our son before!

At one point my expected amount and topic 152 disappeared as well, but they came back eventually.
Able to order return transcript 2/5.
No movement, bars stayed missing until 2/6 early morning, like 5:30am when my bars finally returned with a DDD of 2/10. I was terrified the whole time because I’m due to have a baby on Thursday, and I’ve been out of work for a month. Obviously I know there are people much worse off than me waiting for their money, but it scared me that I’m down to like $60 and have bills coming due next week. I assume I was one of the ones that got resequenced, and that’s probably what happened to you too. For everyone that I know, they were able to order their return transcript the day before wmr updated. That seems to be the only reliable sign of progress, unless you have an offset. I’ve seen many people say that the offset line gave them their DDD, but no one that I know personally. Good luck! I expect you’ll have an update by the next mass update on Wednesday!

Filed 1/19. Accepted 1/25. Had one bar 1/26. Bars gone by 1/27. They have still not returned. Tax topic 152. It’s getting really old seeing people get refunds or ddd that filed AFTER me.

I lost all my bars too, filed 1/19 … my refund amount also disappeared. All I had was a processing message & TT152 …. so unless you get a different tax topic, I don’t think it’s something to be too concerned with!

I have my DDD now but I hope what happened to me helps….

Filed 1/27 with turbo tax
WMR bars disappeared 2/1 (TT-152 was still there but my amount was gone)
Transcripts were unavailable for 2015 till 2/2 then I started getting error messages that my information didn’t match what they had on file.
2/4 was able to log back in to request transcripts but 2015 was still unavailable
2/5 was able to order both 2015 transcripts (account and return)
2/6 my bars can back with a DDD 2/10

Well in previous years I have always filed early and I have always gotten my refund in less than 10 days now the year before last when the student loan form was not on the site a lot of people didn’t get their pay until the end of February, just because your bars have disappeared does not mean that you’re not going to get a date if they were going to audit you they would have put it on the site saying that more information is needed and you will be getting a notice in the mail they’ve got a lot of processing today so keep the faith cross your fingers and you should have a due date in the morning good luck

I was told by irs rep it means you were resequenced and put back in behind others. They wont give any info if not past the 21 days. I know of people resequenced and still getting ddd. Hope it comes soon!

@Jon you and me both I learned my lesson listening to TT about file today get your refund fast. NEVER AGAIN. I will no be the testing guinea pig with my refund again. I hope the best for both of us. If you can order your transcript later please let me know or if you have any changes too….thanks!!!

Yep, still tax topic 152. I haven’t tried to order transcripts yet today, but maybe I’ll give it a shot later. From other posts I’ve read, having your bars disappear has been preceded by a DDD the next day, so I am really hoping that is the case. NEVER FILING EARLY AGAIN.

@Jon Yea this is crazy how people who filed on Feb 1 already are done. I just hope it is good news and nothing else. So you still have topic 152 as well?
