No Luck Today on IRS Call

Called today and got a very rude lady who told me that calling was wasting my time and that last week they told me I had to wait 45 days and it will take the full 45 days so check again after April 2 and they won’t give me anything else until then. She again confirmed no letters and no info needed. We had some back and forth and she even told me a tax advocate wouldn’t do anything to help me get it quicker. I ended up hanging up on her as she was trying to belittle me further. I filed 1/31 and I might have to wait ALL of tax season to get a return? This year is THE WORST year in tax history bar none.

Do any other filers from the end of January have any hope whatsoever? Any who have been told anything at all that seems hopeful? I am stressed beyond belief over this garbage and just want some sort of hope that I will have my money.

I am in the same boat as you. I filed 1/29 and been stuck with no bars. All I have is the “Still processing” message with tax topic 152. My expected amount shows on the side too. I called them yesterday and they told me I was under review and will take 45 days and that they don’t need anything from me at this time. I claimed my two kids and needed this money for car repairs as I have been having some engine problems and need shocks.

I honestly don’t see how it’s ok to hold our money like this let alone for them to be rude as if they’re the ones affected by this sh*t. This is the worse tax season I have ever dealt with. Looks like we’re all screwed and will have to wait a few more months for OUR DAMN MONEY!

Again, no idea how they can do this to people. Everyone in my family who have kids got their money and they were shocked when I told them I still have not got mine. It’s funny how if you owe them money they’re down your throat.

I was accepted 1/31 and no update was told at first identity verification and then the 27th no update but yesterday tax advocate called and it’s seems like alot has to do with the information they have in there system is not matching up with what you filed seems like because I have to fax over my school form because I don’t want to wait for the school to get it to them taking this long. If you filed with tt they seem to have messed with alot of the numbers on taxes so alot is being verified! That’s what I have gotten just from mines being on hold and several people I know!
