Just curious who will never use TurboTax again? what bad experiences have you had? I’m actually calling them to try and get a partial refund they build me for two years ago even though I didn’t file my taxes with them. I couldn’t file because they couldn’t help me figure out where to put in a simple insurance form .and this year I needed help with that again and I couldn’t get any help. I had to go on to YouTube for instructions how to insert a 1095 and because of this it was rejected the first time. They hung up on me three days in a row!!

Understood. My point is that people are throwing blame at TT and SBTPG for going by the book. The same people would be mad if a bill was taken from their account before the date stated on the bill without their consent. Essentially this is the same thing.

I don’t blame Turbo Tax by any means. It was uncharted water for everyone. Turbo Tax blamed the IRS and IRS blamed them. Turbo Tax acted quickly and it was a small delay about a month for me. Kept me informed until the day of my direct deposit. 👍

Sorry, read that out of context. I know I went on and changed my DD info because I wanted it to go to my personal account and not the prepaid card TT had.

clarification about the stimulus delay. Those who used Turbo Tax who had fees taken out had to wait longer on stimulus deposits because of a turbo tax error. It was during the tax off season and the IRS was sending stimulus money to the no longer active Santa Barbara bank accounts instead of the accounts of customers. It was a turbo tax error. It was on the news for several weeks. Affected tens of thousands of people.

All u had to do was tap the search bar in TT and type in “jump to 1095- A or whatever and choose the jump to result to enter it.

I’ve used TurboTax for years, I’ve never had a problem getting help. Because of a unique tax situation, I was audited, they knew before I did and reached out to go over everything with me, then they set me up with a CPA and tax attorney to handle everything.

Never once had a problem with Turbo Tax… pretty sure it asks you about insurance, if you click on the appropriate answer it walks you thru it.

They couldn’t have billed you for a tax return you didn’t do thru them… there’s no way. Sorry, I call bs on that one.

And stimulus money went to whatever bank account you used to get your 2019 return. You also had the option to change that… if the account was bad, you got a paper check. Your fault, not theirs.

I’ve been using Turbo Tax for 10 years. Only time I’ve ever had anything go wrong was during the stimulus checks government hand out. The IRS sent my stimulus money to the Turbo Tax bank account instead of my personal account. It took about an extra month to get the stimulus check. Other than that they’ve been great. 40 bucks a year to file taxes with professional software you can’t beat that. Better than giving H&R $300 for using same step by step software. JMO

I’ve used it for almost a decade and always had wonderful experiences and even when I had to verify or got anything from the its, TT was there for me. That’s my experience
