      ok so i got 971 and 570 codes on my transcripts i know what they are from i claimed the wrong amount on the recovery rebate credit and they reduced my refund by 1400 so my question is when i get that letter in the mail saying they reduced my refund do i have to do anything with it or will the irs just correct it? and i was also wondering what the dates beside the 971/570 codes mean?

          I just talk to IRS and requested a tax advocate. This means taxes on hold for review

            I have the same codes since last Friday. H and R block messed up my taxes. They only put $750 down as the advanced credit when we put that we both received $750. So my refund is $750 less. Wondering about when I we will get a letter and what to do. Hopefully transcripts will update this week.
