Line 30 is the mysterious error department lol! You will get a letter CP12 then refund held 7 days after you receive letter.

I received my CP 12 letter May 17 and still no refund. Originally filled February 19. Status still shows under review even after 6 weeks from receiving CP 12 letter.

Just called this afternoon 3/12/21 I was just told that I have a DD date of 3/17/21. My WMR says still processing no bars tt 152.

My line 30 is 0 I checked. I did do that thing on TT where you put in how much you made this year vs last and my refund did update to more money…I wish i paid more attention but I just button clicked my way thru like most years. HAHAHA TT has never done me dirty before. I went back and looked and we didnt get our refund last year until April so right on track hahaha I used to get it in Feb. :/

i agree….there has been a couple of ppl online that posted proof they messed up on line 30 also but got their money without a letter or being held….it was delayed yes…but its something they can fix on their side….how long it will take the irs cant answer that

My line 30 is 0 and correct but I am in the delayed group. The are hundreds on the facebook group that have 0 for rebate recovery and are stuck.

I have same exact issue as you only I filed hr block, I’m just letting you know I’ve seen of at least 40 to 50 people with ddd between 3/10 and 3/17 some updated on transcripts some on both transcripts and wmr that had line 30 adjustments made do to error receiving any letter or waiting an additional week

TT had a mass error with their software and I believe some H&R Block customers also had this issue. The software is putting a generic $# and causing IRS to Flagg many returns. Not sure what issue you may have but many accepted early 2/10 – 2/12 were still waiting and IRS I guess was telling people their return was in error department but in reality many had this issue. I called and they are fixing errors and sending letters out then soon after DD

You should receive letter of amount deducted from line 30. Then once you receive CP12 letter refund will be on hold for 7 days then released.

Yes IRS will make adjustments and deduct whatever you had on line 30 and send you remainder. But I have to wait till I receive CP12 letter. It will be sent to me 3/22 and then return is on hold for 7 days in case you disagree then refund will be released.

I just noticed i had messed up on that and had an amount on line 30 when it should’ve been empty. Will IRS fix that themselves or do i have to file amendment?
