So, there’s lots of info regarding DD dates based on cycle codes, but not a ton of information about when paper checks would be mailed out if that were the chosen option based on that same code. If I have a cycle code of 20170405 is there a mail out date that corresponds or are the cycle dates only helpful in figuring out a DD day?

James, I think the guesstimate charts are based on cycle codes issued for returns that aren’t being held for credits. There is no rhyme or reason for those. Some are reporting their returns have been processed and received DD dates (although those folks are in the minority). In other words, don’t depend on the cycle dates for anything close to accurate if your refund has been subject to delays in refund issuance.

Oh, I forgot to add that…yes, EITC, & ACTC so I knew not to expect it before the 15th, just curious as to what if there’s any correlation between the cycle code & an actual mail date.

Was your refund delayed because of one or more tax credits (ACTC, EITC, educational credit)? The cycle number you gave corresponds to Thur 1/26/17 which should = to a DD date of January 30th. What does WMR say for you? At any rate, check the info on this page for info on the best guesstimate as far as checks mailed is concerned depending on when your return was accepted, whether there were any processing delays, etc. https://igotmyrefund.com/irs-e-file-refund-cycle-chart-2017/
