Mailed Instead of DD

My WMR says my refund is being mailed even though I selected DD… anyone else encountered this?

Not sure what went on…been using the same bank account for over 20 years, the only thing that changed is the tax preparation….different tax agency…verified routing and accounts #’s were absolutely correct…first said that my ddd was 03/04/20 and should be received by 03/06/20…never received…so goes back on WMR and its saying a check should be mailed by 03/11/20….have no idea what the IRS did or why…but just waiting patiently for them to mail it on and it to arrive…

And some of those prepaid cards do not allow over certain amounts in one month as a direct deposit. Not saying this applies to anyone in particular, but just throwing that info out there.

When I received over $10k in the past, they sent me a check. Haven’t had that amount in return for quite some time though.

The same thing happened to me, nothing has changed in 14 years.

I have a Had a DD of approximately 15K every year

Went to approve on Thursday 3/5 with a check will be mailed by date of 3/11

I spoke with a few people who said my check should have gone out on Friday

Has anyone with a paper check received theirs.

T2471 (@synty2), it’s also the filer’s responsibility to supply the proper routing and account numbers.

Inconsistency is incompetent unprofessional. Tax service is supposed to be professional. The way you ask for a payment should be a contract. What if your mail was taken and somebody tried to cash your refund check, because criminals try to do anything to get over. A direct deposit is the safest way to receive money and the IRS is failing to provide quality service.

It only takes 3 days after it says it’s been mailed out to arrive.

Yes It was over that amount , but it always is and the DD goes through . I know the routing number was correct as there was no issue with the state refund and it was only inputted once for both.

And they mail checks too if u have a number missing off routing number of direct deposit

Are u the account holder of dd account? Was your refund over $10k? They usually mail checks if over $9999.99

I read a few TurboTax filers got a check because of some fluke in system or numbers were added to direct deposit info during transmittal
