Anyone here use the look back provision when filing your taxes update to a ddd? I’m just curious since apparently Jackson Hewitt is telling people there will be a 6-8 week delay if you use your 2019 income.

Its only a provision to see if you qualify for earned income. I just read more into it. You should be fine. In all honesty i didnt know what it was. But from what i just read about the provision. You should be fine. Sorry

That option came up for me but i figured why use income i didnt make. The government is screwy. So I bypassed. Wish you all luck and no hold ups. I dont see how there couldnt be a hold up if your employer reports a different income to the irs.

There are people who have DDD already with it. Believe me

@Ashley, you’re not alone. I filed with JH and used the look back provision. My tax return was accepted on 2/11 and I’m claiming EITC and unemployment. I’ve not heard about the delay, but I can keep you posted.

@Ashley I am in same boat :/ i hope we dont have to wait. I filed with TT but people that filed with JH are saying theres a 6-8 wk delay.

The problem is I already filed. I filed myself and it just automatically asked me if I wanted to. And I said sure. I didn’t receive unemployment last year but my income was substantially lower. I hope it all works out.

I would advise against it , if your income was different in the 2 years
