Letters….Did anyone WITH the Path Msg on WMR get one?

Wondering if any of us that have the PATH message on WMR got a letter or only if people without it……

No letters filed the 13th of Jan, all looks good PATH message on the 23rd Jan, no codes different on WMR on irs.gov, still waiting and hoping for the 15th now, I have never got a letter in 34 years, had one code on transcripts examination of return but called and it is normal so no bad anything to this point, hoping for refund, good luck to all.

I do believe alot of those letters are being sent out to buy the IRS time because possible you are coming up on your 21 days and they are covering their ass.. no I’m not saying everyone will receive on it’s just my opinion on the ones receiving them. They may have taking a look at the return and didn’t know if they would find something so they bought time but I also feel when you get that later and then can order transcripts and you update I feel you have been cleared but as I stated just my opinion. Also 152 only means direct deposit so it’s a good code

I filed on 1/21 got accepted on 1/23. one bar with typical 152 message
2 weeks later I received 4464c letter do nothing wait 60 days
2/10 I have no bars with Path act message and amount gone!
Why Why Why? for the last 2 years I ‘ve gotten this letter and I always have to wait until mid march to see my money. Funny thing is I got the letter hell of quick this year, But it looks like once you get the Path Act message they have already processed your return and just waiting for the Feb.15th release date so the say. This whole system is a Fraud! Taxes my ass last time I checked we’re not even suppose to be paying taxes, But we all know what the I.R.S says about that- To Jail You Go ,16th amendment my ass! I work hard for my money they take out taxes then when its time to cash me out here they come with another bull$hit a$$ law to withhold the funds! I’m a need them to Unass my Cizzash!!! UGH Thanks for listening to me rant!

@tiby Same thing happened to me in 2014 (2013 taxes), when they first started cracking down on the EIC stuff. Had to wait 21 days from filing to call. was told I would get a letter. Received the letter that I was under review and to wait 60 days. Waited 60 days and called, was told it was still under review and if they needed anything I would get another letter. I finally gave up, never received a letter, and never got any answers when I called. One day in June my deposit just showed up. Was a very very long tax season that year, but thankfully each year has gone smoothly since then. Hope this is not a long drawn out process for you.

The PATH Act is a law that says the IRS can’t release refunds to anyone who claimed the EITC or ACTC before February 15th. The IRS site says that even though they will start releasing them on the 15th, it’s a good idea not to expect your refund until the week of the 27th.

Got letter today for further review. Wait 60 days to call. All my info disappeared on wmr. Looks like I never filed. Extremely pissed right now. Nothing has changed for me in 20 years

@Kayla sounds like it will be okay for you. The tax topic 152 and normal amount/info on the left are good signs. The transcript thing could be a good sign, too, but that is dependent upon what those transcripts say when you get them. I hope you get a good update soon. Keep us posted.

I received a letter yesterday in the mail saying ” we received your tax return and are in the process of conducting a thorough review of your information.this review is part of an ongoing program the IRS conducts to ensure the accuracy of return information.
Etcccc.. you aren’t required to do anything at this time. Etcccc….

Also,, yesterday I wasn’t able to order my transcripts and still had 1 bar. (I filed on the 19th accepted on the 23rd) now, this morning I checked wmr and my bars are gone and I have the Tax topic 152 and my amount and info is still the same on the left. Also I just was able to order both my transcripts today too!
I haven’t bothered calling but hopefully that means I’m just waiting on my DDD??????????

I’m wondering this too!! From other sites I’m gathering that the people with letters didn’t get the PATH ACT message on wmr. But it would be nice to know if wr are safe!

I had the idea of looking under 2016 Tax Season on this blog and it’s funny, the same exact issues happened last year. Some people with missing bars had problems while others got their refunds. I think it’s really situational
