On Saturday I received a letter from the IRS stating that I have an offset From 2018 for 2700. And the have a must be paid by date of 3/11/2020. But It states this is not a bill. I’m a pather so it is taking a nice chuck of my refund.
      Filed 2/2
      Accepted 2/2
      No movement
But obviously it has to have movement right?
Is 3/11 the date I will get the remaining refund?

They will just take what you owe and give you the rest. It should not delay your refund.

I don’t understand. Why not just take what you owe (intercept, offset, whatever they need), then issue the remainder! Why tell someone, you owe x amount, however this is not a bill, also your refund will be adjusted – 2700, but you have til 3/11/20, to pay. Makes no sense.
