So, I updated from the Path this morning to processed. My informed USPS app showed an IRS letter coming. I’m sweating bananas. It’s a letter saying we owe $393 from a miscalculation last year?? Dated 2/14/18???? Why wouldn’t they have just taken it out of our return this year. I about had a complete meltdown.

Hi! My letter came from Kansas City. I didn’t know just from the app. My mail comes pretty early, so it was only an hour between me knowing it was coming and it actually arriving. It wasn’t an amount owed from 2017, but from 2016. It was a payment letter and slip to mail back. I was just surprised that they wouldn’t have just offset our refund this year? The transcript thing is driving me nuts!

I also can’t access my transcripts, it wont accety credit card or my auto loan, and my cell phone is in my husbands name so i requested for them to be mailed but that was just yesterday. I feel like i got pulled for review or something, but why not update to the “take action” message like alot of others did today. Im confused….

How do you know what the letter said just by the app? Also curious what address the letter came from? I filed and was accepted on 01/31 and always remained at 1 bar, with processing message and tax topic 152. I never lost bars or flipped to path message. My informed delivery app shows im receiving a letter from the IRS as well. Curious what tomorrows update will show on my wmr. I call the offset hotline and the only thing comimg up is an offset from my state for last year, I cant imagine I would be receiving a letter from the IRS regarding that, if anything usually those payment letters come after DD has been paid. Ugh! This is the first year I’ve ever had to go through any of this, as Ive always been weekly and always received my refund within 3 weeks of filing, just dont know what this letter could be about. I just spent this past year battling cancer, I dont want to deal with the IRS next………. Whatever it is or isn’t….. blah!!! Why does my mail have to arrive soooo late…….

I can’t see the transcripts because our vehicles are paid off and we don’t use credit cards. 😒 I don’t have an active loan to verify.

No. 😂 It showed up on my app this morning and my mail is delivered at 9:30 am.

I was a step by step of my panic-
                  App shows IRS letter coming.

                  I was sweating bananas.

It was a letter stating we owe them a payment.

That app isn’t that smart. Lmao.

I wish they would take it so I don’t have to fiddle with a stamp to mail the payment back!

Sometimes they catch it, sometimes they dont. Do you have the 846 on your transcripts?

So the USPS app tells you how much you owe on the IRS letter? 🤔

I filed 1/26, accepted 1/29, PATH 2/3, and then updated last night the processed messsage. It’s odd that if we owed, it wouldn’t have just been taken back?

                              When did you file?
