I had my refund direct deposited to the Kroger 1-2-3 Rewards Prepaid Card and just realized the maximum daily DD is $5k but my refund Ian 8700. Hasn’t anyone had any experience with this Card? What should i expect?

I Just spoke with them. I was told that they will not reject the deposit only that I may have to provide documentation to verify amount and identity. I’m good with that!

Had this problem for 2016 taxes. Used the Kroger 123 card and since my return was over 6k and the max deposit was 5k it took about 2 weeks after the Direct deposit date for the irs to receive the funds back and had to wait about another 5 weeks to receive the paper check. It was horrible then had problems cashing it because Kroger and Wal-Mart use the same check cashing place and can’t cash over 5k checks so I had to take it to cashland to cash it…never use the Kroger 123 cards if your refund is over 5k….

Although, I don’t have a Kroger’s Prepaid Card I thought I would share my daughter’s experience with her Regions re loadable card. She had the same problem last year with her tax refund. It was too much to load on her card so it was rejected by the bank. If you are unable to have all of your tax refund loaded to your card it will just kick back to the IRS. Once the IRS get the decline they will issue you a check. She got a check from the IRS within a week.

I used an Accountnow card years ago, they had the same policy.
I never had a problem with them accepting an IRS deposit over their limit.
