      I filed 1/17 through HR efile. Was accepted 1/27 and went to 1 bar. Last Friday the 14th I went to still processing. Just got off the phone with the IRS. He told me he wasn’t sure why I could see one bar on the 27th bc HR didn’t actually send them my return until the 14th of February. How does this make sense?

          I doubt that, agents are dumb. I talk to them daily for my job. I call a different line for tax practitioners but still. I get irritated with some of them. They honestly don’t know what they are talking about and have a script.

            you cant really rely on that. I had an agent tell me the same thing a couple years ago and I had my $ within a few days of the call. I firmly believe the IRS agent that answer the phones have a strict guideline of what they are supposed to say and if you ask a ? they arent prepared for they just rattle off the top of their head. I have no faith whatsoever in anyone who answers the phone HAHA
