They are ALL call center rookie agents, and paid based on how fast they can get you off the phone. Generic scripts based on what you are asking them. ( That’s why they put you on hold after asking them a question, to look up a generic answer). Spent many weeks on the phone with them two years ago, and found this to be true.

They always tell you the latest possible date so you won’t call back and ask again. That’s always been true. All they want is for everyone to stop calling, so they’ll tell you whatever works.

I agree with those who say you are not going to get a response that’s based on your personal info from calling the IRS. They all spout the same generic garbage over and over all day long.

I was told path act has my acct on hold until February 22nd, and first week of March is when I’ll see a refund….I’m still on the phone with them now (another 5-7 min hold to answer one of my questions) I asked them some specific questions to avoid being given the generic answers they dish out. Smh.

I was told by the irs rep that I got that the path act dose not lift until Thursday and everybody should get something by the end of the month. As long as there isn’t any codes then about 10 days. I did tell him that my mail is all messed up so he can check and make sure there wernt any bad codes or issues

Right I still believe for me by 22nd they go by the scrip and don’t even ask for your information to look it up

they really don’t know much more than we do. Its a mess as per usual.

You realize they are told to tell you a date that may be further out than what you actually get because they dont know what DDD the computer will assign you.

Everyone has been told something different… some have been told this week, some have been told March 2nd. I feel like they don’t even know
